Comment:

A solid professor. I had the choice to go with an easier professor but chose Mr. Ridgway because I actually wanted to learn Calculus. I think he did a really good job of preparing me for Calc2.

Comment:

He was a good teacher because going to class each day he cared for all his students to succeed. The lectures were nice and organized because it was very helpful for all of us to learn. When there was quizzes and tests to pass them is that you study enough on your homework. Everything was clear and organized for the grading system. Great professor.

I took two of his classes. 372 and 373 at the same semester. He is great! Lectures are not boring. He wants everyone to pass and putt all efforts to teach students. He dropped the lowest quiz score and gave some work for extra credit. Definitely recommend him!

He is great! Lectures are not boring. He wants everyone to pass and putt all efforts to teach students. Clear writing and easy to understand his speech, that is very important for me, because English is my second language. He dropped the lowest quiz score and gave some work for extra credit. Definitely recommend him!!!

The book itself is optional it's for extra credit he gives at the end, the code that's inside the book is a necessity is cheaper just to buy the book all together so you can get the extra credit. Super laid-back, let you go at your own pace, is readily available to help you and if you're struggling he talk to you one-one in class.

Professor Ridgway is hands down my favorite professor whose class I've taken so far. He really goes through each topic thoroughly, doesn't make you buy a $$$ textbook, and really wants you to learn. I wish he taught more classes!

If you have a hard time with math then this is your Professor! He genuinely wants you to learn and even re-learn math if it's been a while. He's passionate about math and it shows. Have questions? Just ask him, he'd love to help you. Need tutoring with math? He's got office hours for that too. Overall an excellent Math Professor who loves his job.

Professor Ridgway is great. I hate math and he turned out to be one of my favorite teachers. He keeps things interesting in his lectures and is very thorough. He does go over a vast amount of information fast though. Unfortunately I wasn't fast enough at math to keep up with the class but I still think he is a great teacher.

Honestly, the best professor I've ever had at ARC, hands down. Ive had the pleasure of taking him twice, and both times, he's been an amazing professor who truly respects his students. I highly recommend that anyone enroll in ANY course he is teaching! I truly wish he taught the advanced advanced calculus series.

Great professor. He doesn't really trick you on tests, there might be one or two that are a bit more difficult than lecture/homework but other than that it's very straight forward. Do practice problems on the website, and try to like the subject. He actually makes it very interesting. Haven't taken the final yet but I'm pretty sure I'll get an a.

Awesome math teacher! He actually makes math fun. He puts in in practical terms and is funny, too. Wish I coulda had him for all my math classes. Also, the textbook is a free online PDF!

I've had some pretty terrible Profs before, up until I started looking them up on RMP. And they all shared the same characteristics: they weren't motivated to see students succeed and weren't enthusiastic at all. But with Mr. Ridgway it's the exact opposite. He is super animated with his lectures and, in my opinion, wants to see his students excel.

Prof. Ridgway is very clear in his expectations of the class. There is homework and tests that make up your grade. He gives partial credit for work shown even if the answer is wrong so show your work. Study hard, pay attention & form study groups. Prof. Ridgway is there for the students so use his office hours. Great instructor, explains Stats.

Very clear. Assigns HW from a free online book. easy to ask questions. responds to emails fast, unless weekend. go to his office hour and don't be afraid to ask questions. His tests are not hard if you do your memorizing of all ID's and special angles. seriously, memorize your special angles. He brings them along all semester. No extra cred.

Mr Ted Ridgway is the highest quality stats teacher at American River college without a doubt. Real world stats applications. Extremely knowledgable and outgoing. Easy to approach and will help you out with pleasure. Puts his heart into every lecture so you can learn. He Keeps you interested. His office hours are very helpful. Take him :)

A very difficult class, but Professor Ridgway is a brilliant and charismatic lecturer. Make sure you show up to class and do all your homework and you'll be ok.
