I took his online class LFYA as an elective, and although you have to read alot, I really enjoyed his class! As long as you do the work for when its due which isn't much, you'll be fine in this class and he gives great feedback.

I took a Feature Writing course with this professor. Seeing a lot of the negative comments here is really saddening. Perhaps he was just going through a hard time... I'm very glad I took this class. Yes he rambles on, but if you really get to know him, he's a great man. Don't let these negative ratings dissuade you. Take it from a rational person.

Unfortunately this has been the worst professor I have ever taken... he gives lectures on things that are not relevant to the course, goes off on tangents about absolutely nothing for the entire 75 minutes. He doesn't provide students with information necessary to succeed- for example expectations about what you should do/wear for a speech. BAD.

Had to take this class to replace another class. Was not worth it. Went into his class confused and left it even more confused. Was talked down to about how we did not do our papers correctly and that we did not know how to format a paper. Do not take his class unless you want a teacher who goes off topic a lot.

Do not take this guy! I had him for an online Literature for Young Adults class and the amount of work was ridiculous. Every week you are required to read an entire book (sometimes upwards of 350 pages) and provide answers to questions that he gives that are completely irrelevant to the book. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR.

Probably the worst English professor I have ever had! This was an online course and I could not even stand the guy, can't imagine actually sitting in class with him. He would send weekly emails about our responses and each email would take about 20 minutes to read. Nothing but ranting and telling everyone they were wrong. Not worth the aggravation

Avoid taking class with this person. He talks about nothing all day. Then one day you are expected to give a speech for 5 minutes that is 25 percent of grade. I put all my energy into first speech and he gave me a 1.5 out of 4. He did not help me when I asked for help. He yells at students in class from time to time. Just Avoid!

We covered everything from world hunger to concussions in sports. He rambles all class about nothing and assigns work but you can get away with doing nothing. The intro to speech class is joke. I have not had to turn in one assignment. If you like to sleep take this professor he will be so consumed in a rant about nothing he won't even notice!

took children's lit with him online in a very short winter semester. VERY compact and A LOT of texts, and assignments. But, I learned a lot and got exposure to new things. He graded generously, and provided me with GREAT feed back on my writings. Really saw my writing talent and incouraged me to develope it.

Goes on wide tangents in class. Students literally fall asleep. Other than that, if you can't pass his news writing classes, you shouldn't be in the industry. Let's you redo a lot of work on the grounds that you learn from mistakes.

Literally an awful teacher. People are saying he's awful in the classroom but I say he's awful for online courses as well. He's rude and unclear...learn how to communicate with students. Your rude comments don't help us, more like discourage. I am about to go to the chair and tell them how disgusted I am with his teaching.

It sounds fun, but he was terrible. Took too long on short comic and expected us to read huge comic books on our own. He graded papers however he felt like that day, my grades ranged from B+ to C-, could never please the guy. This class was painful, and killed graphic novels for me. Managed a 3.7, still don't know how, but don't take this guy ever.

Is very nice away from class, but is downright rude to students during. A "quiz" consisted of 18 essay questions, and the class was unprepared for this! Seems to despise his students. I thought another teacher was going to be teaching this, so this was truly a surprise and it is awful. DO NOT TAKE!

Feature and Magazine Writing. Awful class. Muffled speech (he kept his hand in front of his mouth) not engaging (very boring) talked about random useless info. Not clear on assignments, he's very old so he's slow, can't hear anything, and old fashioned. Know's his stuff but can't convey the info very well. DO NOT TAKE HIM for ANY CLASS

Took online class for Children't Lit. Fairly easy if you read the books and do the assignments good and on time. From his comments I can tell he knows his stuff and is a really nice man. I would take another class with him again if I had the opportunity.
