Comment:

Tim allows adequate time for projects and pushes students beyond their potential. If a student doesn't give their all, he wont spend/waste time assisting them. He helps those who ask for it and work hard. The projects he assigns usually seem odd or tedious, but they have valuable lessons and teaching moments if students put in the work necessary.

He taught me the basics and made painting less intimidating and I am grateful, but when it came to expressing myself he dictated a semester long project that was not anything that I wanted but I thought I would fail if I didn't take direction. It hangs in my aunt's living room and I hate it because I allowed it and because he teaches what he likes.

Tim was nice, kinda awkward. His grading rubric isn't very clear. You definitely have to put the work in and participate at all times. And if you don't do his suggestions, it will be used against you on your grade.

Tim is a great teacher and knows his stuff. Listen in class read your book and DON'T use your cellphone in class! Study for the tests there are 3 total and a couple of quizzes. Take Tim if you get the chance you won't regret it.

Western is blessed to have such wonderful undergraduate art professors. Tim Waldrop is a exciting, attractive, and experienced artist who, luckily, has chosen to share his knowledge and skills. He is a good teacher for any student who wishes to work in new media. He is helpful and extremely generous with his time, in and outside of class.

Tim was a very confusing man. He only spent time/encouraged the students he liked. His projects where hard, tedious, and time consuming. Though he sometimes made interesting side conversations at time he was not a good teacher in my opinion due to all the things he put me and the other student through. So many people left or did not it though.

I used to take both professor Don Crouch and Keith Holtz Art 180 classes for different Semesters.Tim was nicer than both. Tim Waldrop advised and helps me a lots when i was struggled. I took all the classes that Tim Waldrop teaching.He was the best teacher I ever met in Art Dept along with S.Yu,T. Rathje,B.Walters,B.Howard,and V.Palacios.

TIMBO haha it was an easy A for me i just found all the pics he showed us on the internet and memorized them plus i looked over my notes for a couple hours before each test do that and its an easy A...The quizzes suck though because no one studies

Wonderful teacher! Incredibly helpful and encouraging. Takes an interest in his students and always has a story to tell. Speak up in class too, he likes students who have some interest in the class. Grading can be a little tough, but as long as he knows you're trying, you'll do fine.

He was constantly talking about his art. I'm not paying $6,000 a semester to be taught by someone who'd rather be painting on his own, I like teachers who want to be around.
