Comment:
The lectures are horribly boring. Attempts to be funny in class, but in actuality is very rude in interactions with students. There are three tests, an essay and a presentation decide your grade. The guidelines on how the class works are mostly unclear. Overall seems to not care too much.

Sistrunk has no clear grading criteria, grades without giving explanation as to why you got the grade you got. He is also incredibly insensitive, a girl's uncle PASSED AWAY and left the room crying to which he replied as a joke "looks like someone is emotionally overwhelmed". He rarely responds to emails and is also excruciatingly boring. AVOID.

Wow, I am a history major, yet this professor still managed to make his class the most boring I've ever taken. You are graded on attendance, 3 tests, and a final paper. Thankfully he posts study guides for the test or else the class would be screwed, it's difficult to know what we need to take notes on since he doesn't use power points or slides

Graded on three tests and one final paper. No clear grading criteria, will not help you along. Most boring lectures EVER! Attendance is required, so bring something else to keep you preoccupied, as the lectures won't help in the long run.

This class is very boring. It consists of 2 midterms and a final. The tests are 25 definition matching and 2 essay questions. There is a research paper that you work on all semester long. He lectures without powerpoints and just writes on a white board. If you show up and half way listen then you will pass the class

Decently easy class, just pay attention. Attendance super important. Overall, most useless class I have ever taken. He tries to be funny, but he's just rude. Very childish. Very vague on tests and lectures. PowerPoints are just pictures he found on the internet. I honestly didn't learn anything. Don't take his class.

This class is the most boring class I have ever taken thought my entire college career. Attendance matters and I still showed up to class once a week thats how bad it was. Everything is very unclear, he just talks at you for the entire hour and 15 mins. No powerpoints with notes just useless scribbles on the board. DO NOT take this class its so bad

He is kind of boring, I don't know how many times I have almost fallen asleep in his class. He makes scribbles on the board a lot and his hand writing is not the best, but okay. You only have quizzes (which are on the lectures), a paper, and a few exams you get graded on. Kinda dry humor and he goes into little rants sometimes.

Loooooved Prof. Sistrunk. The way he spoke about issues, gave light to dark matters, and just made hilarious jokes. In the beginning I wasn't looking forward to this class, but now I'm so glad I stayed. Very odd human being but such a cool dude kinda weird with attendance tho, you have to show up or else you get docked mmaaaajoorr points.

Lectures are interesting, but you have to pay attention in order to get info on the tests. Illegible handwriting on the board is the best you get for notes. He's also extremely difficult to get in contact with outside of his office hours. He gives his email as his only contact method, yet never replies to it.

There were 3 exams: two midterms and a final that isn't comprehensive. His exams consist of a multiple choice section and two essays. Essay parts are super easy, but his multiple choice is extremely vague and difficult. One group project and semester long paper. He's big on participation! Super weird guy but definitely makes the class interesting.

This guy is BORING. I dreaded having to go to class every day and hearing him talk for over an hour. He has an attendance grade, so you have to go to class. History is supposed to be a fascinating subject, but this guy makes it dry and boring. I'd recommend ANY other history teacher besides this guy.

He is a really cool guy but his assignments are unclear! You do not need to get the books I have not even touched mine. There are four test and they are straight forward, he gives a study guide that helps a lot! There is a research paper based on your hometown.

Super one sided. Doesn't use factual information and spreads rumors about industries he knows nothing about then belittles you when you try to correct him with factual information provided by educational studies. Decent teacher but needs to be factual and not talk about industries he's never seen or experienced first hand.

Dr. Sistrunk is an awesome professor! He is very funny and made the class a joy to be in. His tests are very easy. No txt book is needed, but make sure you keep up on your note taking since all the test questions will come from the lectures. 3 tests, a paper, and other basic assignments. All are easy to do!

I had him for humanities back in 2007 (i think) I loved him. He was really funny and the way he moved and made weird hand gestures and scribbles on the board was very fascinating to watch. He didn't get the respect that he deserved from the class but he was my favorite professor that semester. Seriously funny guy
