Dr. Kazan is the best professor I've had at Elmhurst. She genuinely cares for her students and is an intelligent woman who knows what she's talking about. Take her class!

Kazan is highly knowledgable and expects her students to put in the work, but is overall a lovely person. The reading quizzes are challenging and unannounced, yet if you do the reading you'll be okay. The class also consists of multiple papers and a group project.

Comment:

The class is challenging, but Dr. Kazan is amazing (she's the best professor I've ever had). She is always willing to help you whether it be though a conference or a quick email. One of the textbooks is pretty boring, but both are definitely necessary. You NEED to read- the one day you don't you'll have a pop quiz.

Comment:

Attendance is MANDATORY. LOTS of work goes into this class as it is all papers and a couple pop quizzes that are HARD (do the reading.) HARD GRADER. Also a group presentation. That being said, Kazan herself is lovely. Great sense of humor. I'm taking her again in the fall! Would recommend her to anyone who's focused.

I've taken a few of Dr. Kazan's classes. She's a great professor, but not one that spoon feeds students. Her classes are not impossible, but not ones you can autopilot through. She wants to see how you think, how you put concepts together - not just parroting it back but how you can apply it. Really taught me a lot about rhetoric and debate.

Comment:

Dr. Kazan is one of my favorite people at Elmhurst. She is such a sweet person and is more than willing to help her students out. This class was an excellent learning experience and surprisingly fun. The assignments require effort, but she makes it tolerable. A piece of advice? DO THE READING. Her random reading quizzes are difficult.

Dr. Kazan is a MARVELOUS professor, and she'll make herself available almost ANY time you need her. She goes above and beyond the rest of the professors I have had, and i encourage all students who take her courses to utilize her as a resource. She's crystal clear about assignments, and grades based on your effort , so just do it! Don't be lazy! :)

Kazan is the bomb! She's VERY helpful! She has set criteria and the assignments are clear. She expects her students to know the book material. While one book is very dry the other makes up for it and easy to read and covers the same material. Shes VERY understanding and tries to create personal relationships with her students. Great teacher!

Dr. Kazan is one of the best professors I've ever had. She is not only fun in class, but really cares about you and your progress outside of class. I knew very little about rhetoric before her class, but she made it interesting and fun. I highly rec. her as a professor

TK is seriously the coolest. She was doubtful about my project but let me cover "Super Bad," and then became a Judd Apatow fan. Really understanding, helpful, and just a great lady.

She's alright. Class was boring and she couldn't even keep us on track. We just kind skipped back and forth in class.. didn't feel like there was a direction for the course. What got to me the most is that she wouldn't accept an ELMHURST COLLEGE doctor note for my class absence. Gee, sorry I couldn't breathe.

She really works with her students. She gave us extra workshop days when we needed them, takes the time to read our papers and give her input b4 they're due, and she makes doing the work fun. LOTS of work. She's funny and she really pushes you to do your best. Even during a tough time, she really worked with me. HIGHLY recommend her!

Fantastic teacher. Assignments and reading are challenging, she's a tough grader, but more than willing to help, and you do a lot of group work also in this class. One of the harder eng classes I've taken, but has improved my writing so much.

Very intense and indepth class discussions make it easily interesting. Is great at creating more class involvement over all professor lecture. Would definitely recommend to take her classes any time!
