Pretty solid choice. Ive heard other sections don't have homework, so their grades are terrible. but this teacher has plenty of homework and not test heavy. His lectures can be a little much, and he uses classmates as examples a lot. Probably the best teacher to take for Stats. I am terrible with math and still did well.

This class is hard no matter who you take it with. The homeworks are hard to get all the points because we don't really learn in class. However, on exams he tells you exactly what you need to know. He's super nice & cares about his students but going to class is pointless, self- taught class.

Honestly, Dr M is a great human but his lectures are very frustrating and chaotic. The class is not very organized and any time I asked a question, it wasn't answered. Tried my best, C's get degrees right?

This instructor is lecture heavy, but provides relatable examples. Where he fails is in his testing. He gives a long exam with math-based questions to be taken during our 50 minute class period. Many do not finish because of this. I'm sure he's aware, but does very little to adjust. All of the textbook materials are on cengage which is great.

Dr. M is a great professor for statistics! If you just attend class and do the homework on time, you'll escape with a good grade. He helps make the material very learnable and memorable, which is definitely important in a stats class.

This class was pretty tough for me even though I like math. Homework points help but can only do so much. Hard to finish exams in the time period. and I'm the type of student to be first to finish in most cases. I felt like I understood material in class and on homework but then the test was pretty different

Listen, QBA 337 is going to be a hard class no matter what. Dr. M makes his own notes for his students. Print them off, go to class and fill them in with him, do your homework, study the notes the night before the tests, and you'll get an A or a B easily. He cares about his students and his work, and it shows. Best prof i've had at MSU hands down.

I like Dr. M. He is a nice guy who truly cares about his students. His jokes can take some getting used to, but I think they are funny. 237 was not a hard class and he goes through everything in depth and wants you to pass. Take for QBA 237 if you can. Easy choice.

Great teacher. One of the best I have had at MSU in fact. He is prepared and is very good at breaking down the material and explaining it in very easy to manage sections. I was nervous when I started the class but now I see there was nothing to worry about and I feel like I actually learned something. Props Dr. M

Lots of homework but easy. Show up to class to actually learn the material and you will easily pass. Nice teacher, takes the time to learn everyones names. Tests reflect homework. Easily one of my favorite professors

Dr. M is a great teacher. As long as you show up to all classes, take notes and do the online homework, you can pass with an A or high B. The only kids who are struggling to pass are the ones skipping and not doing hw. He might go off track with stories but he's cool and has a fun personality that cares for his students. Would take again forsure!

Dr. M is a great professor. This class is going to be hard no matter who you take, but I would recommend Dr. M to anyone that has to take this class. If you go to class, follow along with his lectures, and do the homework you can get out of this class with a B easily. He's a nice funny guy that really cares about his students and how they're doing.

Dr. M is such a nice guy but his tests were so hard! They are way too long to be able to finish in 50 minutes. Most of the class was still in there when time ran out. Lots of homework but to me it was helpful. He tries to use the book a bit too much. He didn't like answering students questions very much.

Stats is a hard class, but I think Mr. Margavio was a pretty good teacher. You definitely have to try in this class otherwise you will not pass. I wish he gave a better study guide and more practice problems for exams, but I would take him again for statistics.

Dr. M is a great guy but not the best stats professor. He gets hateful when you ask questions and seems annoyed if you are confused. His tests are hard to study for and he gives too many questions which makes it hard to complete the test in the time allowed. Told us at the beginning of the semester he was trying to trick us with his test questions.

Dr. Margavio has not taught statistics in YEARS (he admits it during class) & it shows. His lectures are so choppy & he gets sidetracked with stories. Its really hard to keep focus. He also has at least 3 assignments due a week & they're long. The problems on his test aren't in the same format as the homework so tests are super hard. DONT TAKE HIM!

Easily my favorate Teacher at MSU, I have never had him for stats, but I had him for 3 of my CIS Classes. Wish MSU would let him just stay in CIS instead using him for QBA. Easy classes, does get of on side stories but is usually entertaining. Gets a bad rap due to due to tough QBA, material but he is a great teacher.

Dr. M has a wonderful personality. He is straightforward about what will be expected on exams, though it is hard to complete them in time. Homework is frequent, but reasonable. His lectures make sense and he gives out prewritten notes that make studying easy. He gets a bad rap because its difficult material; people are exaggerating. He's fantastic.

Tom was the worst professor I have ever had in my life. He doesn't care about his students or their performance. Even if you work really hard in the class, you can't apply the material you have learned to the test. This is due to the lack of time he gives you to complete an overwhelming amount of course material. Take another professor if you can!

Margavio has not taught Statistics in 10 years and the classes test scores reveal this. His lectures are hard to follow with lots of tangents and simple mistakes that he overlooks. His tests are extremely hard with WAY too many questions to answer in a 45 minute time period. He often asks for hw on excel but then we cannot use excel on the test.
