Absolutely hated this class. It'd be one thing if working hard paid off but for this class it wouldn't. You can work your fkin ass off and he will refuse to give you an A. He grades everything just based on what he's feeling and wouldn't tell you what you did wrong. Vince my grade to you as a teacher is an F --at least I gave you some feedback

Even though he can't give a 100 percent, I can, I 100 percent do NOT recommend taking this class. Hope u have a 70/80 day Dr. Howe (what I got on most assignments w zero feedback). Learn to teach if you're gonna grade us like this is a Harvard law class. Hope you realize that the bad grades you give us reflect directly on YOU, Doc :p

He is the WORST teacher I have ever had. He grades so hard for no reason at all. Literally, he does not give you reasons why he takes off 20 points. I have gotten 2 B's in my college career. He is by far the worst. Even if you do everything you can to think you can get an A, he won't give it to you. Take someone else if you can. Hence why he has2.8

Literally the most unorganized class I have ever taken. This man is all over the place. He's a hilarious teacher & tries to make the class interesting. Be prepared for case briefs & group projects. Doesn't explain assignments so the majority of the team, you are on your own. Good luck.

This class is truly awesome, Dr. Howe is a good and nice professor always ready to help! Lots of assignment, so tests aren't that hard to pass. I recommend this class 100%.

Case briefs for days. He definitely is not clear with what he wants for assignments. The best advice I can give you is to listen for key words he says over and over again. I'm pretty sure he just scans through the midterm and final for specific words in each question. Actually read the case briefs to do well.

He is a very nice teacher. Test and quizzes are all short answer and essay, he is a tough grader, and isn't specific what he wants. If you are a planner, DO NOT TAKE HIM! He schedules what he wants to do the week before it is actually done. Lots of case briefs.

Dr. Howe isn't as bad as a lot of his reviews say. He keeps his lectures pretty interesting and he's a good guy. It is difficult to get an A though as hes not 100% clear on what he wants. Even when you do a good job he just barely gives you an A (90%). Don't think he has given anything higher in his life. But overall not bad.

Worst professor I've had at UNCW! He doesn't explain anything or teach anything. Going to class is pointless. Will not give out 100 on anything. Impossible to get an A in the class. Grades are whatever he feels like giving you, there is no structure. If you can take a different professor, do it!

The guy is very vague on what he wants students to do. This can lead to a lot of frustration due to grades. Be prepared for a semester long group project that will determine your grade. I personally hate group projects.

Difficult class. Dr. Howe grades hard and his tests are all essay so his grading is pretty subjective. He knows his stuff though and the cases were interesting. Case briefs required for each presentation. Not too much work but basically impossible to get an A. Interesting course. He loves to use the words basically and essentially a LOT!
