Comment:
During his lectures, he would start talking about a concept and then drift off into a different topic for 5 minutes that was unnecessary. There have also been multiple instances that he taught a whole concept wrong so I had to rely on extra help from online. Yet, Mr. Davis loves math so he is sometimes helpful when you ask questions.

Mr. Davis is an excellent teacher. If you are willing to put in the time and effort, he will reward you. His grading rubric is fair. I noticed those who did well did hw prior to lecture and asked questions. Those that did not score well fell behind and had trouble keeping up.

There is a lot of material to cover. I got confident at the start of the course and found myself drowning and gasping for air the remaining of the semester. Don't be afraid to ask for help he will gracefully lend you a hand. Great teacher if you take advantage of his office hours.

he is an ok teacher. his lectures are hard to follow unless you know the material before hand and they are very boring. i ended up teaching the entire class to myself by doing the hw. pretty much every student had a hard time. his average quiz grades for the entire class were C,D,F's. as a student you must be proactive and study hard yourself.

Professor Davis was not for me. He was very good about homework questions, but we always ran out of time before he finished the lecture. He lets you turn in homework anytime before the semester ends and there is a quiz every week. He's really nice, but I didn't appreciate his teaching style. He did crack a few jokes which most kids didn't get because of his dry humor, so you have to be listening.

Great teacher! Very helpful, clearly explains material in lectures, keeps everyone up to date on quizzes & exams. Kinda quirky, but good sense of humor & wicked smart. Attendance isn't mandatory but you definitely should go or you'll miss out on the info. As long as you come to class, take notes, do the HW & learn the material you'll do fine.

Yikes! Spends most of the class going over the proof instead of example problems. Who really cares about the proof? Quizzes often so attendance required, but at least he curves the exams. Like others said, he does mumble, so he can be hard to understand at times...overall I would not recommend this teacher.

Awesome teacher. Summer sessions are a bit long and he tends to ramble, but he realizes this and addresses what must be addressed. He can be a little hard to understand at times but you just have to pay attention more. His comments on hw sheets are extremely helpful, assuming you do it. Scores fairly and often generously.

If you want a professor that knows his math, Davis is the one to take. He is extremely helpful and knows how to explain things clearly. I like math teachers that do problems repeatedly on the board because I personally learn through repetition. Overall, if you study a lot, you will pass the class with a C or better. Very hard to fail.

I didn't learn anything in this class, becuase he mumbles a lot and he spends about 1/2 the class on 1 problem. He confused me often, becuase he was explaining something to 1 person, but contridicting himself from the 1st time. My reccomendation is not to take him!

i had him for math 251. he was incredibly nice and helpful. in class, he didn't simplify things enough so you couldn't really understand everything, but when i asked questions in the math lab he was very patient and explained things very clearly. he would spend 20 min. of a 50 min. class going over one problem, though, and that cut into class time.

Great Professor. He teaches at a fast pace but as long as you keep up with the hmwrk, which is extra credit, you will be fine. We had quizes everyday during the summer about 3-6 problems, so you need to keep up w/hmwrk.3-4 hour exams 15-20 q's.They are not to bad because he does review. It would be hard to fail his class.

Easy teacher. You don't have to turn in homework until the day of the final. He doesn't really teach you the steps on the board so you're basically on your own. His test are reasonable. Just study the night before a test and you're good.
