My favorite teacher. He is very thorough and I love his discipline and routine. He is extremely organized and extremely fair. He doesn't smile much, but I don't hold that against him. He is very approachable and very good at what he does/knows! I highly recommend him, if you are willing to do the work; otherwise, take someone else.

I'm terrible at math, but having Dr. Chabot for Math 209 is AWESOME. As with every math class, you need to put in effort, however, Chabot's exams are straightforward, and he gives out study guides that are carbon copies of the exams. As a retired professor, he lectures very well and his class is enjoyable. Very chill guy.

no nonsense proffessor, he just walks in to class teaches the lesson, asks for questions then he leaves. he doesnt take attendance after the first week, but just make sure you go to Test days and the day after the tests to get the study guide for the next test

pretty laid back. Make sure you go on the first two days. He doesn't take attendance after the first week. But make sure you come on the days of the tests, final, and the day after the test. He gives you the answer sheet after the test. Doing some of the problems assigned also helps.

He has a special way of teaching. However, once you get "the hang of it" you will understand. I took math 208, which is a crap class to begin with it, but if you do your hw, practice, you should be ok!

Great math professor. He does problems efficiently so we smart students don't have to sit through the boredom of tedious calculations. His lectures are very informative and fun. His exams are fairly easy because he practically tells you what he's going to test you on during his review sessions; you should attend those if you want to do well.

if you love and understand math, this class will probably be easy for you. i you stink at math, get another teacher. he expects you to know related material beforehand. he has his own way of teaching which is really confusing, and he runs out of the classroom when class is over, so we didn't get to ask him anything after class.

This teacher didn't do any problems STEP by STEP as how math teachers are supposed to do! He did shortcuts with most of his problems, which made his teaching style very hard to understand at times. Doesn't go through homework problems or offer to answer questions or have the class participate in anything. All he does is LECTURE. Very boring too.

I think Dr. Chabot is an excellent teacher. He is thorough and clear. I enjoyed his classes very much. However, he is not easy. So do not expect an easy A in the course. I worked real hard for mine.

Very awesome professor. Great teaching style and attitude, very clear and structured lecture. He drops lowest score out of three midterms (!) so you have chance to recover (not that I needed to), and his review sessions before an exam go over ALL the topics he will cover on the exam--if you study from the sample exams, you'll be set!

For those who will be taking Math 209, it is a lot easier than 208. He'll teach how to calculate something, but not tell you what you are calculating until the process is learned. Tests are without notes and calculator, but that is not a problem. He only marks of a point or two for simple mistakes.
