You will not find a more caring, concerned teacher than this one. His heart is in teaching and he has the gift for this profession. Outstanding clarity...breaks everything down for you and will not proceed to teach further steps until he feels you are comfortable. It's obvious he cares about your success. He is the best math teacher you could have had. He has retired but I still remember his classes. He would explain where the formulas come from and if you had a question he would explain untill you understood. He does require homework everyday but he decreases the amount if the type of math you are doing takes longer, so he is very concienious.

math is extremely hard for me. mr tom wants you to learn everything his way and his way only. i got problems right on tests and i got marked down because i completed problems the way i learned in high school rather than the way he taught them. he is really clear when it comes to instruction. you will have homework every night no exceptions.

I'VE ALWAYS STRUGGLED WITH ANY MATH CLASS, BUT MR. TOM CERTAINLY CHANGED THAT FOR ME. HIS EXPLANANTIONS IN CLASS WERE SO HELPFUL TO ME. AWESOME MATH TEACHER!!! Great for anyone... I had horrible math teachers in high school, which gave me NO foundation. This guy's explanations and assistance in the class changed all that! I walked away with an A and was prepared for MATH 25. Just make sure you show up, do the homework, and use his study guide and you'll do fine! How hard is that?
