Best professor Ive taken at FIU! He makes sure his classroom always stays positive between the students and him. You do not need to know who to draw to pass class, follow criteria and you will be ok! Take him, you wont regret it!!!

He is an AMAZING professor! I don't know why there would be any negative reviews here. Yes, there is work that is tedious but nothing is hard. Just make sure you plan out when you will do the art assignments and the lesson plans because if not it will take forever and stressful! He is not a hard grader, and there is many extra credit opportunities.

One of the nicest and most respectful teachers I have ever had in my life. His patience and attitude are inspirational. Take him for any class he teaches. His work is easy, just need to do it.

There are a few art projects but nothing you can't handle and they are kind of fun. There is a lesson plan you also have to do and teach in your field school & a puppet show at the end of the semester. He also offers 3 extra credit opportunities. Take him! He's awesome!

He is amazing! Yes there's a lot of work but they're minor and it's to help you. You learn a lot about art and have a good time doing it. He's so organized that its helps you be organize to STAY ON TOP OF YOUR WORK! Only major thing to do is the lesson plan (very thorough instructions) and doing your field hours. Attendance is mandatory. Take him!!

He was great! But, he was requires a lot from you. There are many projects and if you dont stay on top of them, you will loose track. Stay focused and turn things in as they are due. He is not a tough grader, if you try youll pass. Good Luck!

I love love love Professor Ritzi! He's so awesome! He wants the best for his students and I find that amazing! But don't think that his class is just a whatever art class! We do have assignments and projects but they're all in good fun (: I 100000% recommend him!

He is passionate about art and teaching. He cares very much about students. As long as you keep up with assignments, you will do great! Lots of work, but it isn't hard work. No busy work. Fun class. Forces you to embrace your creative side. Learned a lot about teaching, art, and myself. Great professor overall. Wish he was my advisor!

SWEETEST professor EVER! he is extremely passionate about what he does and always tries to help every single student. He is very polite and makes sure you feel comfortable in his class. The assignments are a bit hard if you are not good with art, but it is not a killer.

This class is not difficult there is just a lot of work that is time consuming. There are questions due from the book every class and there are art projects that are to be done at home. Ritzi allows you to do some extra credit and turn in assignments late for less credit. Good professor, overall.

Super sweet guy but his work is definitely overkill! I took this class together with Mendoza's class thinking it would be easy..after all it is art..but it turns out I have had two or more assignments due every week since the beginning of the semester (and that's not including the quiz he gives at the beginning of every class).Not hard but A LOT!

Great professor, but the class is way too much work for an art class. A lot of drawing assignments, a classroom observation, a lesson plan, a museum critique, a resource notebook, and a puppet show. Also, about 5 reading quizzes and a final. This class is very time consuming and overwhelming. Make sure your schedule is not too busy when taking it.

I had him once a week for a 3hr class so do expect to hear lectures and assignments. In the beginning it seems like alot of wrk to do and later you will realize it is not as bad at all. Just don't be a procrastinater doing wrk the day before it's due because it will kill you. Love his class :)

This class is not a challenge,if you love to draw. You mostly draw and do one major Lesson Plan in an art class,and a puppet show. Hs class seems very easy,but it is not, he is into details and he wants the way he wants it done!In a strange way, I liked his class because it was something new for me.

Ritzi is the nicest professor i have met. For incoming honors college freshman take IDH from 11-12. You will be in the Ritzi, John Bailly, Schwartz section. If Ritzi is grading a project be creative, show hard work and you will get a 100 on it

Comment:

A lot of assignments that are very time consuming. Final is a little difficult but overall a very fair grader. He gives a few points for extra credit if you turn two assignments in early and attendance is mandatory! Overall, very nice teacher.
