Didn't learn squat in class... quizes everyday that I failed just about everyone but he does let you make them up during office hours which is where he actually explained the subject pretty well... If you want to pass, make sure you can make it in to the office hours!

Extremely unclear in lectures, most of the material is self-taught. Quizzes every day can either help or kill your grade. I would have failed had I not taken calculus prior to taking this course.

Be prepared to teach yourself the entire semester from the book because he can't teach at all. Make sure you keep up with the chapters on your own, because you have quizzes every day. However difficult he seems, he's also a very nice man and if you ask for help he'll do anything to help you.

He cant hear so speak up. He is a fair greater and really just checks to make sure you understand what you are doing. He loves calculators so use them. But he is horrible at teaching the material. Its nothing like the book so try to teach yourself because everything is based on problems out the book. Test every week that you can redo.

Not as horrible as everyone's making it seem. As a teacher, he sucks... Expect to teach everything to yourself from the text BUT he makes it really easy to do well in this class. You can retake quizzes as many times as you want and he makes you rehand in the homeworks until you get it correct - Easy A if you try

this guy does not care about his students. he gives quizzes all the time and doesnt help you even if you need it. he does not explain in a way a person can understand and if you do not understand he makes you feel stupid. honestly if you want a good teacher to teach you this information i would find someone else

He is a hard teacher, but I wouldn't say he's that bad. He creates quizzes for every class, but you do get to go to his office or stay after class to redo them - which is very helpful and allows you to get a better grade. He gives you chapter tests for each chapter, but you can redo them too. As long as you do a lot of work at home you'll be fine.

Very bad teacher. He is a nice guy but he makes entirely too many mistakes when teaching and doesn't understand questions. Quizzes everyday, and will only teach if you ask a specific question on the homework.

Oh. My. GOD. Such a hard class, way too much work, doesn't want to curve or drop anything, not enough time to get everything done and he just doesn't care so long as he gets paid. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. If you are in his class, switch ASAP!

Professor Torrie does not care about his students passing at ALL. No matter how early you go into class, or how late you stay, he won't care. He belittles students and makes them feel like idiots just because they cannot grasp complex geometry concepts without any actual teaching of them. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

absolutely hate his class! Do not take him if you have to take a geometry class. Test are hard and the final is all the test put together. Weekly dissections that are put on test that are not explained Quiz every day. Miss class you can still take the quiz but is hard to tell if your doing it right. Have the time confuses himself

he left midsemester, but for the first half he was pretty great. his sarcasm is hysterical. 3rd grade math. quiz everyday but you can retake it as many times as u want until u get 100 - doesnt count against u. he will help you if u need it (stay after class, meet u later, exc), he's pretty actually interesting. he made class fun somehow, easy too!

This teacher is a complete jerk in class, but he is the best math teacher I have had here. Take him if you have trouble trying in math. He makes you pay attention and as long as you study, you'll do great. He had made me earn my grade and that makes me even more proud to get it.

terrible, doesnt teach, u have to learn on your own. long quizzes given in the last 1-5 minutes of class. doesnt explain labs and expects a lab that usually take at least lab days to do, one 50 min. class period. DO NOT TAKE!!!

I don't care what anyone says, I liked him. True he does not teach, but with the amount of times that he allows you to makeup the quizzes, its SOOOO easy to get at LEAST a B...IF you put forth the work.
