I think that Dr. Rapp is both an excellent teacher and a genuinely nice guy. He has a very serious passion for music, particularly percussion. He is more than willing to help students in class, outside of class, and even with getting scholarships, other financial aid, and opportunities to participate in musical events in the area.

Dr. Rapp is a very good teacher. He lays out his expectations clearly and explains things well. He is obviously very prepared for class. One of the few decent music professors at KU.

Dr. Rapp is one of the best teachers I've ever had. There are rules with him though. Show up to class (it's about 15% of your grade), don't show up unprepared, or insult another student if it's not clearly in good fun. If you do any of these things he'll put the fear of God into you, and proabably shave 5 years off your life, but will never hold it

he's a good professor, will help you on anything even though he's the Head of the Music Department and is one of the nicest guys i've had as a teacher. he runs class very well, and very approachable if he has time, lastly he is a Percussion (drums) God
