Comment:

Water Planet isn't an easy A class, but you'll probably get a B or higher if you do all the papers and get more than average on exams. There is a term paper at the end, which scared a lot of people from taking the class, but the term paper isn't that hard and the professor gives good feedbacks for the rough drafts.

Don't take this class. He is kind of a nice guy but he really can't teach this class. Lectures are extremely boring and way too detailed. Study guides for the exams were super detailed and long but less than a quarter of the material was on the tests. He also expects you to remember irrelevant details from readings on the exam. Don't take him...

Yair is like average, I personally thought this class was really easy since as an engineering Major none of the stuff he threw fazed me ( he tells you there's no need to memorize the few equations he DOES talk about ). However, if you're new to college science and looking for an easy A, this is not the class to take as there are a lot of readings

Comment:

Professor Rosenthal is a really smart guy, you can tell he has a lot of experience and knowledge. I had some trouble understanding his accent in class, but all the powerpoints are given to you so it's easy to follow along. He moves a bit quickly, but overall a really great professor. He was really helpful during office hours especially.

Do not take this course under any circumstances! This professor is the worst and the material is extremely hard. He gives midterm/final study guides, but they are useless because the exam questions don't come from the study guides. Worst professor ever! I don't think he even curves. There are definitely easier science courses; avoid at all cost.

Yep, things have changed and the class is now much harder than before. Yair is cool but the class will be very boring if you're not interested in the subject. Do the problem sets, extra credit and midterm/final reviews (which is a good amount of work) you should get a B/B+. There are easier science classes out there, but this one was alright.

Needed to take one more science course and absolutely hated this one. Dry and BORING subject to begin with, difficult homework problem sets and the midterm was also hard (avg score was 64). Final was okay. Gave extra credit and I think curved final grades to make up for the extreme difficulty. Definitely not an easy A but doable B/B+.

Yair is a pretty good lecturer and very fair grader. Most of these posts are right on so definitely take him if you need but this is not an easy A by any stretch. He also did things differently this past semester due to the reviews he read at this site so no point in telling you more detail since he may just shake things up again 8)

Yair is great. His accent is keeps you entertained and he's real mysterious. He actually wants you to pass and he'll do all he can to make it happen. The Mid-Term was pretty hard, but he'll do all he can to make up for it and make sure you get a good grade.

I don't know how people can say this course sucks... It is so easy it is ridiculous. The guys accent is priceless and it is even better when you come to class baked as a cake. This is certainly not a ROCKS FOR JOCKS class but it is fair. Don't take it if you want an easy A, because you have to study a little bit at least. The midterm and final were indeed difficult but his curve makes up for it. The class had a bunch of lazy people who expected to cruise by but failed or did poorly. Anyone actually who tried got an A.

OHH, the water planet..Yair is cool but the class sucks. lectures are slides which are put online. attending lectues are useless bc he literally just reads the words from the slides out loud. just a midterm, final and one problem set. both exams where hard as hell. passed midterm because of 20 point curve, failed final. got C+ in the class. enjoy

really really nice guy...bad teacher..midterm study guide completely threw me off considering the midterm had nothing from it on it..i was one of the few who went to class and it was pointless..two exams hard as hell but gives a curve at the end, its not worth it

Oh, Yair. The midterm included nothing from the study guide, and the final had everything. There is no point in going to class because everyone falls asleep anyway, but buy the book. Almost 70 percent of the material comes from it, the other 30 from lectures [which are online]. If it weren't for his generous curves, I doubt anyone would've passed..

Nicest Prof ever!!! Midterm and Final are pretty difficult but he is so nice and his curve is ridiculous. The class itself is boring as heck but whatever, use it to fulfill some GE requirements.
