At first i did not like her at all. But i really warmed up to her. She is a tough grader and class is boring but she really wants to see you succeed. she can be funny at times. She gives you direct feedback, and usually you do a rough draft so you can always apply her corrections for the final draft. I would take her again

Professor Bean wants you to fail. I've never had issues with teachers but she is by far the worst teacher I have had. She grades really hard and unfairly not being clear about what she wants. She makes you use the handbook, is very strict on policy, and does not have sympathy for any students or their issues. She is a researcher but unreasonable.

Professor Bean was an excellent professor. She cares about all of her students. In general, she is a difficult grader. Thus, you have to put effort into your writing in order to get an A. However, if you follow the guidelines you will likely do well. Take advantage of her office hours. She will help you with your writing and your grade will improve

One of the most caring and sweetest professors I've had thus far. She is so intellectual and keeps you engaged during lectures by her very animated personality. If you ever have a situation don't hesitate and ASK. She will try her best to understand and assist her students. BUT DO take her seriously when papers are assigned.

Comment:

Professor Bean is the BEST! She's so sweet and genuinely cares about her students and their success. Coming into this class, I was not the best writer but she truly gave me great feedback to improve my writing skills. She's also hilarious and plans fun activities for class! You can expect to read in the textbooks a lot, but overall she's amazing.

Prof. Bean is by far one of my favorite teachers/prof I've ever had. She is dedicated to improving your writing abilities and inspires your confidence and motivation to succeed. The set up of the class is organized and structured to prepare you for the final portfolio project. Attendance and punctuality is important. Overall, FANTASTIC experience.

She is one of a kind. One of the best professors in my entire life. You have to work for your grade, but you'll end up being a better writer. If you enjoy writing as much as I do, please take her. She is too passionate and she is the sweetest.

Takes super long to get through anything. Doesn't assign much homework throughout the quarter but the final is huge and she assigns it a week before its due. The grading gets harder as the quarter goes but she doesn't help revise your writing, so my writing never improved. She makes you buy the textbook but you honestly only read 10 pages in each.

Comment:

Professor Bean is a theatrical professor. She is better suited for English majors and honors classes. Her class was very challenging. The grading criteria was extremely strict and her expectations were way too high. There are numerous long papers but she was always available. Look at other WRD 104 reviews. If not BIG MISTAKE.

Prof Bean defined my DePaul experience right away. She loves working with students and you can tell. Each assignment is crystal clear and has a specific purpose. She is willing to work with you and gives you personalized audio files with feedback on assignments. She's funny and makes you feel like an adult. High expectations.

Professor Bean's class was probably the one class I always looked forward to. Her character and personality makes the class very interesting. When it comes to course work, she is strict on her expectations, but she is always willing to help you out when you seek help.

Professor Bean is so sweet. Everyone is referred to Mr. or Mrs. followed by his or her last name. The assignments were given in a clear manner. Slightly tough on the grading, but manageable. I would highly recommend taking her as a professor!

Prof. Bean is an absolute doll! The only reason I know how to write papers in a college setting is because this woman made sure we knew exactly what was going to be expected of us. She's a tough grader, but she gives great feedback and is more than willing to work everyone to get a better grade. I wish all my professors could be as amazing as JB!
