I didn't get statics at all (dbk was no help), but everything made sense in strengths with Yossi. The solution manual REALLY helps, and the material is largely self taught, but sitting in lecture listening to his explanations helped me too. He's a good guy and genuinely cares about students. Definitely a passable class.

Yossi Chait is a cool dude but sometimes he can be all over the place when teaching. Between him and the book, the class is passable, but not without a challenge. If you have the paper and ink to print out his pre lecture notes then class can be a lot more bearable and easier to understand. He gets off to FBD too so make sure you have them on tests

Yossi is a bit confusing. He does tend to mess up a lot pf the in class problems and it's usually up to the advanced students to save him. He sometimes will even discourage you for being wrong, then say that you need to think. Don't take this class if you don't want to feel down on yourself for making mistakes!

anyone who passes this class is as qualified to teach it as yossi. doesnt teach, just screws up problems in class. class is self taught out of the book. the guy is arrogant and thinks his time is more important than anyone elses. waste of taxpayer money

Boring. Went to clas only to hand in Homework. He did offer multiple times to help students outside of the class. Class, however, was too god aweful boring to go to. He teaches right out of the book, examples and all. You have to teach yourself...

You have to learn it yourself- luckily it isn't to hard. Gave homework with 2-3 days notice and it was usually due on days we didn't have class! He is the absent minded professor- He forgot when the final was! Class is painful, he is annoying.

Yossi messed up a lot. He knew what he was talking about, but he was very scatterbrained. He posted incorrect hw solutions, he did problems wrong in class and his tests were very tricky.

Yossi could have been better. He posted hw solutions which were often incorrect and he consistently made mistakes when doing problems and then butchers us on exams when we do the same. He also managed to forget when our final was and didn't show.

A horrible man. Little notice was given with homework and he made too many mistakes during class to count. On top of this you are expected to learn everything on your own. Very harsh when grading exams.
