Abnormal psych was an interesting class. Very little work, only quizzes and tests, so each one is point heavy. Pretty easy class for the summer.

Marrero is tricky to meet with when you are in online or blended courses. There are 3 quizzes/tests each week in his course. If you follow all criteria given may you still will not receive full credit for your work. He is a stickler about deadlines, don't ask for an extension. If a mistake is in his cirriculum he stands by teaching incorrect info.

With Dr. Marrero you won't want to miss any classes. His tests are fully based on his lectures. However these classes are interactive and fun to be a part of. I will definitely be taking this course again. As long as you come to class, you'll pass.

I was always excited to go to class because he often starts lectures with a funny video or story that will later relate to the overall lesson. His class was an amazing experience, and I learned a lot more than I ever have in a class before. I would definitely take any class taught by him! The class will be difficult if you do not put in the work.

My online experience with Dr. Marrero was very dull. I respect him, as he seems very knowledgeable, but he didn't communicate the same experience online as I believe he would in a classroom setting. The class was crazy easy. I learned very little. But he was always kind and an easy grader. I just liked the subject & was excited, but it fell short.

Being in Marrero's class convinced me to change my major - it was that great. His tests are fairly difficult, but if you take good notes and pay attention to the material you'll do fine. A bit of a warning though, he tends to go off on tangents a bit. Take notes from the slides, but listen to what he's saying too - it's probably still important.

I really enjoyed this class (Abnormal Psych). It was the most interesting psych course Ive taken and Dr. Marrero did a great job of teaching it. I highly recommend it.

It's an easy A but he doesn't know how to use the online systems so be prepared for headaches. He also doesn't give you a reasonable amount of time for some things. He expects you to miss work if he schedules a test at noon on Saturday. No compassion but I'd take again just because it was easy.

I will take anything that Dr. Marrero teaches. His classes are very interesting, tests are challenging and he does try to trip you up. But if you study and utilize the materials he gives you all should be fine. He is one of the most intelligent people I have ever met & pushes you to produce your best work, He made me want to go into neuroscience.

Marrero is probably my favorite prof at RSU. You won't have to fake laugh at his jokes; he's actually hilarious. His lectures are super easy to follow, but you'll need to at least take notes (if not read the chapters, too). He does give out 5-question quizzes that can be pretty rough, though, which can make it hard to keep an A in there.

Fantastic and engaging. His courses are not blow offs, but if you put enough effort into them, you will get an A. The tests aren't too difficult as long as you read the chapters. He is a bit quiet, but he is funny and enjoyable. The only real complaint is that he continues class after tests.

Dr. Marrero was probably my favorite professor at RSU! His classes are not easy A's but you can get one if you are willing to try. He is very sarcastic and Has a dry sense of humor which can be intimidating to some you just have to get used to it and give It right back to him. Super fun loved his classes and would highly recommend.

Dr. Marrero is a very intelligent man with a witty sense of humor. I have taken him several times now and I really enjoy his classes because he challenges me to do work at a level I have never done before. He prepares me for grad school and I appreciate his teaching methods. There are very few assignments & tests. Required presentations 10min long.

Great class. Great guy. He cares a lot about his students. He is funny, talkative, and interested in the subjects he teaches. He brings cookies sometimes too. I will definitely take another class by him.
