Genis is an easy professor to work with. The material itself is not to interesting, but he does make it somewhat more interesting. He has humor. You have a test every thursday, half the class doesn't show up on lecture day. HUGE curve when letter graded at the end. I'm at like a 58% and got a letter grade of B.

I don't usually follow these ratemyproff things because it's always the people who don't show up and end up failing, get a bad grade then complain here about it. This teacher is the best, very funny. I don't have the quizzes and you don't need them, use the questions in the back of the chapters and you're golden. (Tests are pretty easy too)

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS UNLESS YOU LIKE ENGINEERING OR ELECTRICITY. I heard this was an easy gen ed. You have to get the quizzes or else you're doomed. The tests are hard. There are easier gen eds out there.

The class is interesting but can be difficult if you don't read the textbook chapters like he says to on the first day. The professor is very funny and has a dry sense of humor and cusses occasionally. This happened to be my favorite class this year and I would recommend it to anyone in Computer Science or the Engineering field.

Difficult class. I came into this class having read everyones comments on here. ELE is only easy if you have the quizzes from someone who already took it, or if you are a brain when it comes to electricity. I do not have the quizzes and I think the subject is dreadfully boring therefore the class is pretty diffficult.

He's a smart guy who knows everything about electricity. There's a quiz every Thursday that he never changes from year to year. Real funny and always cracking jokes but the material is pretty boring. If you took a electricity class in high school the class is a cake walk

This class is one of the most boring classes I took at NIU. He was funny at times but the material is incredibly boring to learn. His writing on the board is also hard to read. All I can say is thank god im done with all my gen ed's now!

The guy is so boring, and sometimes he'll go over something for about an hour and it won't even be on a test or quiz. Nobody goes to class because he'll confuse the crap out of you, he's very technical (aka boring). The class isn't HARD, but boring enough so that you might wanna find a better elective.

Genis loves to tell stories. Quizzes are easy, but tests are involved. Curves the class a lot. Review sessions before the tests are very helpful. Genis is very bright and sometimes forgets he is talking to a 100 level class. Goes through information fairly fast.

This teacher is the most hilarious teacher I think I've ever come across. He makes the class interesting. Overall, his class isn't hard, especially the quizzes. Watch out for the tests though, those are a different story. He's extremely intelligent so you might get lost in the lecture, but overall I do highly recommend this teacher.

I never went to class and got a C. When I did go he was hilarious and fun. Just do the study guide at the end of each chapter that you "read". No problem. He even told us about how he filled this big ashtray (like the one from a hotel) up woth water and dropped out of a window and through the roof of stevenson's dining hall like 20 years ago. SWEE
