Comment:

By far the best professor I ever had at Eastern. Computer Architecture is very difficult but Dr. Tu makes it so much easier to learn. He explains the material clearly and concisely and makes frequent jokes. He really cares about his students. Definitely take Dr. Tu if you can!

Comment:

Great professor! As long as you show up to class you will pass this class. He makes exams really easy by telling you what each question will be about so you know what to study. Very few assignments, but he gives plenty of time to get them done. Would recommend him for any class because he covers the material really well (I've had him a few times).

By far my favorite professor here at Eastern. He actually raised my interest in computer science. You can tell that he cares about his class and what he is teaching. He gives study guides for his exams and his grading is fair. I would highly recommend him to anybody.

He's is an exceptional and inspiring professor. He teaches extremely well. His lectures are quite long, but very clear. He will help you with any problems you have and clarify any questions. Tests can be difficult but are not that bad if you pay attention. Too much to do in too little time for this course. Amazing professor.

He is very cool and pretty clear in his explanations and is really willing to go the extra length to help you succeed in his class. Show up, follow along, and do the homework assignments and reviews and you should do well. The material is hard but he makes things easy. Great Professor!

Comment:

Best CS professor. I've had him for a few classes already and am always happy when I get to take a course with him. He's fair with grading and his classes can be a bit difficult but he's enthusiastic and explains well. He's also very available if you need help. As long as you show up, pay attention, and try, you will do well.

Had him for CSC 320 Comp Org and Arch. VERY enthusiastic and helpful, excellent adviser. But he never gave us any practice in class, so the MIPS projects were nearly impossible, but he was helpful and curved all the grades. Accent can be hard to understand. Many concepts would be lectured on but never practiced until an exam.

He is a great teacher and is an even better person. In general, the lectures aren't easy but he rewards effort and sometimes curves. Above all he just wants you to know the material. Attendance is highly recommended since he usually goes beyond what the book teaches. Far and away the best CSC professor at Eastern.

The class is not easy but the teacher will do everything he can to help you understand the material. Ask questions if you have any and go to office hours. The best teacher Eastern has in the Computer Science department. He is so passionate about the topic and teaching. If he taught all the classes I would only take them with him.

He is the best CS professor in all of Eastern and I ALWAYS try to take classes with him. He is very good at teaching and makes things super easy to understand. And all without too much work! He doesn't give you crazy projects or essays or anything, just practice problems. Only gives you what is necessary to learn. I never worry in his classes.

Definitely an awesome professor. Knew his subject and taught it very well. First two exams weren't bad and the final was a little tough, but a pretty awesome class overall.

Professor Tu is a great guy and really into the subject. I think he teaches well because of his enthusiasm for computer science. He kept the lectures clear and easy to understand. He does have an accent that can be confusing but after the first day or two, you figure it out and can understand him.

Comment:

Easy class about C++. He repeats and goes over stuff many times. Projects are pretty easy if you can get the hang of the basics. Tests are open notebook so take good notes. Gave me a hard time for using Notepad++ instead of Visual Studio. Everyone seems to like him. You don't need a book, just use online resources!

This is one of the best professors I've ever had - certainly the best professor I've had in the Computer Science dept. He explains difficult concepts well, is helpful, gives exam reviews, grades fairly & easily, and curves the class. If you put in some effort you'll come out with an A. Highly recommended professor!
