Comment:
Dr. Talwar is a great person and is very passionate about any topic she teaches. Her lectures are kind of boring. Not much to do in class. She teaches, and gives you the rest of the class to work with in groups. Believes in peer tutoring. Very helpful if you do not understand something. Tests are in class but not that hard if you know the material.

Comment:
Classes are a bit boring and seminar styled, but always gives time for opinions and arguing points among students. Don't bother buying the book. Dr. Parker is sweet and definitely a fair grader. One take home exam, one final project, and ten journal entries collected at the end of the semester. Take her if you need a soc course.

She is a great professor and a really compassionate woman. She knows what she is talking about and respects peoples' opinion and lets them speak out even if it is ridiculous. Her classes are very mind opening.

By far, she is the best professor overall at this campus. Shes very courteous and professional in her classes, most of which are seminar styled. She's also very open-minded and can appreciate different points of view. She's also very optomistic and comes up with creative assignments. Once again, by far the best teach ever.

Great professor! I learned a lot in her first-year seminar class. It was the best class I have taken at Penn State. But a lot of writing is required and grading is not easy so be prepared for a lot of work.

Had her for her 1st year seminar. Very good teacher. We went on alot of field trips and papers were graded easy. Sometimes class was a little dry, but it is an easy A.
