Contemporary short story; sad hes retiring :( but this class was fairly easy. Most of the class was giving presentations on the stories chosen for the semester. After my second class with him, I enjoyed this class slightly more than his 102 class. Still had the same energy and charisma

Jakubowski was spectacular. He laid out everything he wanted so it wouldnt be a struggle. Grades very easy. First paper, he lets you revise for a higher grade if you didnt do so well. If you read, you will get 100s on his quizzes every time. Taking him again next semester. Also a very interesting and hysterical lecturer

Great person, great professor. The first paper he assigns to you he lets you re-do for a higher grade so you can get a feel for the way he grades. Mid-terms are in-class essays and he tells you exactly what you need to know before hand. Gives lots of information and grades just how he tells you he will. Overall great teacher take him if you can.

If you are looking to actually learn about different forms of literature and how to correctly write papers then this is your professor. Probably the best English professor I have ever had. He is as knowledgeable as they come. He can be a tough grader if you stray from his outlines but if you don't then there is nothing to complain about. Awesome

one of the rarest professors you can find, hes pretty awesome as long as you attend and actually work u'll be fine, doesnt respond to emails but other than that he'll help you out and actually explains how your essays can be better one by one. def reccommend him, i got a C but that's because my writing sucks nothing to do with him.

Seriously one of my favorite professors!! Extremely understanding and helpful! Gives us assignments ahead of time so you have a good amount of time to complete them. His class isn't boring at all! He isn't too much of a harsh grader compared to the other English professors. He lets you rewrite an essay if you didn't do well!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Professor Jakubowski is awesome! There are 3 essays you write at home, a research paper, 2 in class exams, 4 journals, and quizzes. He explains everything thoroughly so it's pretty easy to get good grades. He tries to make the class as interesting as possible. I would definitely take him again.

Though always interested in literature, this professor made me view it in a completely different way. He made it easy to understand the deeper underlying symbols in a story. He made reading interesting! As well as showing films from time to time. He gave reasonable assignments, easy quizzes, and participation is encouraged but not vital. Take him!
