A very nice lady who simply lectures and writes important things down. The textbook is not mandatory. Her exams were all short answer and short essay based. Pay attention to the videos shown in class. Does occasional extra credit opps. Class was an easy A if you knew the material. Good luck

I loved her class and hope I can take her for another sic class. The study guides are exactly what is going to be on exams. She doesn't do ppt. Just listen. She's very repetitive so you will get it. Goes over what she said the class before and continues to new material. You'll love her.

Comment:

She loves what she teaches, and it shows in her lectures. Her Ta's were helpful, but unfortunately it was the second test that killed me as well as a B.S. page in the final over thus resulted in my C+. The only problem you will have is B.S. questions, so be careful on those. The text is interesting as well. Good experience.

Professor Maryanski is a great professor. She's always very excited and interested in what she teaches and it shows in her lectures. The class was fun and pretty easy to follow as long as you pay attention in class, take notes, and do the readings. Three exams and a final make up your grade. I would highly recommend this class. :)

Maryanski is a very enthusiastic teacher. She tries hard to make the class as interesting as she can to keep her students' attention but most times I got bored. Her tests were fairly easy. We had three midterms and 1 final and I received A's on all of them just from reading the text. Take her class. It's a fun and easy A

Professor Maryanski showed enthusiasm for the subject. Though lecture could be boring you could tell that she wanted to make it interesting for students. She is extremely helpful during office hours. She has 2 midterms and a final. All short answer. All exams were fair.

Nice lady, tests were very easy with a lot of the material covered from the study guide. Study guides built around the readings so possible to do well without going to lecture but she does test you on a lot of stuff from lecture that's not on the study guide.

Her lectures are on her exams...so GO TO CLASS...there are days with random extra credit, and if you study the study guide..the EXACT material..you will get an A. Surprisingly, the more you study, the more interesting the class gets. I got F's on the first 2 exam..until i really studied and got an A on the 3rd exam.

i loved her class she is very nice and friendly. She is a sweetheart. make sure you take good notes on the films they will def. be in the tests also take great notes. She gives extra credit some days so make sure you go to class.
