Comment:

The class isn't hard. It's made up of a few homework assignments and our midterm was taken online. Basically if you do the work you should get a good grade. He's not a good lecturer though; he's really monotone and talks really slowly so it's hard to pay attention.

Comment:

The best class I take in UCI. Professor is really nice and gentle, and really cares about students. He helps curve grade near boundary, which really understand students' feelings. I feel lucky that I can be his student. After this class, I have new understanding to Informatics and plan to transfer to Info Major. Excellent learning experience!!

Comment:

I would not call Professor Kobsa a great lecturer; he speaks very slowly and often takes forever to explain a simple concept. But his class is enjoyable nonetheless, and it is an easy A if you have even the slightest hint of common sense. In fact, everything in this class was laughably easy, from homework to the online midterm to the final exam.

Comment:

Good teacher and he is very interested in the subject. He does talk slow so that can make it hard to stay awake in class. He is very intelligent though. Grades fairly on the midterm and final. The projects were easy A's, and the homework was fine. Discussions with the TA were a joke but they werent required either. Cool class!

Good professor if you like UI related material. The class isn't too hard to begin with, and since he's genuinely interested in the material he makes a good prof. Only bad side is that you might pass out (as I often did) in his lecture.
