I do not recommend this professor. He lacks clear communication, compassion for students, and availability. Communication is key for any student to be successful and support! If your able to take this course elsewhere please do so, extra credit was available, dropped two of lowest quiz grade. Just be mindful!

Make sure you put time in this class everyday. It's not an easy class( even online). If you don't read the textbook or watch video, basically use all the materials he give you, you won't pass.

Economics is not easy with him! You learn a lot from the book and lectures, but he always tricks you on tests! Gives out extra credit, but it's not enough to bring your grade up! Do not trust the tutors: they only know econ to a certain point! Face it: DCCC is a horrible place is to take econ! Wait until you transfer to do take this and do well!

Very good professor! Learned alot through all the resources given from powerpoint notes, videos, and others. It's long but, not impossible. IF you know the topic you should be ok. The textbook is very resourceful also. Especially taking online, you can study at your pace but make sure do it before deadline. Responds to emails sometimes

Honestly one of the best professors I've had at DCCC. He knows a ton about his field, and does a great job of contextualizing stuff from the book in real-world situations. His quizzes and tests are challenging, but so long as you take good notes in class and study they're not bad.

This professor doesn't really seem to be interested in helping the students understand the material. It is as if he doesn't actually want to be a professor. He doesn't actually write the questions on the test, he takes them from the textbook supplements. This makes it very hard to study for his tests, especially since every question confuses you.

His test questions are tough. He goes through a lot of information and breezes by it. If you understand economic terms already it is a major help as you don't have to do any additional memorizing. He is a cool teacher but the course is hard

Ali is a good dude and he's got a sense of humor. This was one of the hardest classes I've ever taken in my life. If you need help he is pretty much there for you but he doesn't do the work for you. It's pretty clear you have to work for a good grade.

he's not as bad as everyone makes him out to be. if you take notes in class, look at the PPTs, and take the quizzes online you should be fine. his quizzes are tricky but after the first you'll know what to expect. he usually gives you a couple points bonus after each quiz to help you out. also do any extra credit he gives!! it'll make a difference.

It was reading intensive, but the required ungraded quiz questions made appearances in the exams. EMAIL HIM with questions or concerns, he responds regularly. Pay attention to deadlines, give yourself time to complete assignments. You will succeed if you read the book, take notes, use his study guides, and retake the quizzes until you're confident.

He does not give any additional help for anything besides directing you to the textbook. His tests are impossible, and he purposely tries to trick you during them. If you expect to take an easy online class, do not take his class. He does not care about his students at all, and does not even seem to understand the material he is teaching either.

I have children , work and was registered for his class . If you are taking more than one class drop this one . This is the hardest class you will ever take and Ali doesn't make it easy either. His test are very strange . There is a book report you can do for xtra credo do that. Initially I withdrew so I wouldn't affect my grade point average :)

Don't take his class ever . He doesn't care about you, he doesn't help with anything, he's rude but has a sense of humor . His tests and quizzes are so impossible. The smartest kids will fail . You have to teach yourself and read the book over and over again. My high 3.8 gpa with all A's for three years dropped. He loves giving out D's and F's

Mr. Ataiifar indeed is a tough teacher, exams are very tricky, he does not seem to care much about student's success and is not very likely to help in case it is needed. HOWEVER!! He knows his field extremely well and class is very interesting.Be prepare to work HARD,attend class with an open mind - you will gain lots of knowledge! Good luck!!

He's not hard to understand, but he doesn't teach. He just spits back what's in each chapter of the book. His quizzes aren't bad really. His tests are really hard and worth a HUGE percentage of your grade. I've never seen a midterm and final worth a total of 70% of your grade. He does absolutely nothing to help everyone do well.Dont waste your time
