this is more of a chinese lesson class rather than marketing. she puts so much emphasis on talking and participating in class so much so that students end up saying rubbish in fear they will loose marks. she is strict with her questions. she gives impossible questions that reading and downloading a whole textbook wont help.

The group assignments are the worst. She splits the class via country and mixes everyone up. Midterms are okay. She uses almost 90% of questions from the weekly quizes, so make sure you stop by her office before the midterms to look over the answers to the quizes because she doesn't bring them to class.

Is good enough, but be ready to learn mostly about Asia. Overall, lectures are interesting and group work is fine, but her mid-terms are tough; there are 2 of them and each covers 7 chapters ( lots of reading) . Every class a quiz ( each 1% total 12%). The good thing is there is no final.

Warveni is an great prof who truly cares about students. Don't expect an easy A; you MUST read the textbook as midterms are not based off lectures. Be prepared for 3 group projects with an assigned team. Warveni cares more about building public speaking confidence than content, which is a huge skill to have once you graduate. Worth the effort!

Very knowledgeable. 3 group assignments with no individual work can be annoying if you have a busy semester and/or less-than-spectacular group. One assignment requires you to find a real client and develop an international marketing plan - a great idea in theory but it's tough to find a business both willing to work with you AND market abroad

I found the final exam to be difficult in comparison to the midterms. You have to attend class, 10% of your grade is based on participation. You will be assigned a group on the second day of class and will have to do two major presentation with that group.

Terrible, boring, useless. Couldn't possibly learn a thing from this prof, a complete joke. Class is super easy though with minimal effort B & B+ is definitely achievable

Warveni is all about using the textbook. You NEED to READ the TEXTBOOK to PASS her EXAMS. I repeat. READ THE TEXTBOOK. In class she goes over powerpoint slides which is useless. The information on it is not even used on her exams. Her projects are easy if you have a strong team. But to do good on her exams read the DAMN textbook.

Overall, not as terrible as everyone here is saying. Warveni's class is pretty formulaic: provide her with respect and you'll get it back. Otherwise, participate in class and read the book. A's are really hard to get from her, but a B with solid knowledge is better than an A without learning anything. Would gladly take again.

Boring lecture. Only reads out almost exactly every words on ppt in class and do nth else for preparation. Tho you still got to come to class and shows your hands up for participation marks. But she won't fail student easily anyways. Most ppl I know get around B grade in this class.

This professor is bogus. Three group projects - aka too lazy to teach so she makes you do presentations, not that her teaching helps anyways. She does not prepare you for tests AT ALL. Puts herself on a pedestal. I was excited for this until she made it ridiculously boring. Terrible teacher. And Warveni, we know you put your own ratings up here!!!!

All she did was add confusion in assignments, and in class projects. Not very prepared. The other ratings on this site look pecularily like her own comments. I don't know of one student who would agree with the supposed good ratings posted here.

Warveni is a very passionate teacher. She loves to teach, and loves students who wants to learn. For quiet students, beware, there is a lot of pressure to speak and be active in discussions. Tons of group work with randomly assigned groups, so beware. Other than that, the course is an easy A.
