First things first Prof Zargar relies heavily on power-point lecture. He talks and always goes off on tangents. He is really old and doesn't speak all that clearly. Most of the learning is done on your own reading the text. Overall the material covered was just an extension of statistics with more applied concepts. The class is passable.

Relies heavily on powerpoint lectures. Lots of in-class assignments, I don't suggest skipping this class. Midterm had many things not discussed in the review session, expect to do a lot of studying on your own. He also goes off on lots of tangents while lecturing. Not clear on HW due dates or format. Make good note sheets for the tests too.

Show up to class everyday and take notes. He gets boring at times so the lectures can be pretty rough. He gives occasional pop quizzes which are fairly easy as long as you half payed attention in class. His first tests are fairly straightforward, but get harder over time. Occasional homework which isn't too bad, you just have to google the question

Very old school professor that relies on the book. Lectures spit out the book and tests you on your memory of book (make a decent cheat sheet). His examples are very mundane and go on and on sometimes. I had hard time understanding the concepts. He will put you to sleep, so I suggest you make a coffee run before class.

Avoid this professor at all costs! I have some of pretty bad professors during my college life but this one just takes the cake. Not only is his lectures dull and boring, he's very rough on students when he has no reason to be. I was working during lab and he straight up gave me an F without giving proper directions on how to do the assignment.

In lecture this professor gives clear instructions and examples of what he expects you to learn, and then tests you on that exact material. The lab work consists of a lot of Excel, that he also helps you with if you need it. This is really not a hard class and a decent amount of effort will probably get you a good grade. You get what you put in.

Significantly lacks the patience to be a teacher. Preaches to students about not taking their grades personally, then goes and gives an assignment worth five times the amount due to low attendance. Students score poorly on first test and he thinks he graded fair. Resembles strong qualities to be a dictator. Don't waste your time with this joke.

What a joke of a professor. Very rude, cant understand him, goes on rants in class, and gives mediocre assignments that are a waste of time. Please retire already so we can get some highly motivated people in the TECH department. Thanks for nothing.

I took this class as a once a week class and he cancelled probably half of them so we ended up attending every other week. I got an easy A but the class is a complete joke. I would not advise you to take this as an upper GE.

This is the worst teacher I have ever had. All of the homework is to be submitted by e-mail and he loses them too often. I had to resend homework multiple times. Also, I missed a class when groups were assigned for a group project worth 10% of the grade and he said I was S.O.L. Curriculum is from 1996 based on DVD activities made that year. DONT
