Kingsnorth is the worst teacher I have ever had. Her lectures are a rambling incoherent mess, she was unable to answer one question asked by a student. There are 3 tests that are impossible to study for because she does not explain anything that will be on the test. The final is 40% of your grade.DO NOT take this class. Absolutely horrible teacher.

Alice is very kind and has 3 decades in the field. This class required a lot of reading however she allows for students to find what interests them. Interesting slides about different cultures. I highly recommend if you want a broad approach to Anthropology.

Alice is NOT an easy teacher. If you have NO interest in learning or have absolutely no sense of humor - don't take a class with her. If you do want to learn and understand humor, take her. It will be frustrating but she works with you if you show an interest. Speak up in class, ask questions, read the text. I WOULD take another class with her.

She really worked to make sure everyone in the class unsertood the material. Many thought she was too erratic, but I liked her. Taking her class showed me that I love anthropology

Alice was a fantastic teacher. It is clear that she is in love with Anthropolgy and really guides others to fall in love with it as well. Her accent is enjoyable to listen to, and everything she teaches is extremely interesting. TAKEEE THIISSS CLASSS! its the best one ive taken.

Tough to follow the lectures. I have never seen a more jumbled mc test. Funny a lot of the time, if you listen. This class is sneaky hard and not very ideal

Wish I saw these comments before I took her class :/ Great lady, horrid teacher. has no idea what she has taught to which class. does not talk about either books or lecture from them, but you have to deeply understand. Lectures are all over the place. MC tests are KILLER.. i'm scared for my grade:(

Overall a nice teacher. You can tell that she loves what she teaches. However her multiple choice tests are absolutely ridiculous. They make no sense. The answers are ambiguous. Overall I am a straight A student and I got a C in this class. Again, nice teacher, just hard as heck.

I'm not going to lie, Alice isn't the best teacher for Anthropology. She has THE most spastic lecturing style ever and it will scare the crap out of you at first, but if you stick with it, you start to get the swing of things and it isn't all that bad. TAKE THE ESSAY EXAMS! MC ARE MEANT TO MAKE YOU FAIL! Projects are a breeze. Read the book!

She is humorous and can be light and refreshing. but also a bit confusing. the class is moderatly easy but she has no structure so you are left fumbling in the dark. on that note i got an A and laughed sometimes... but other times i wanted to go to sleep.

She was an extremely engaging lecturer. Her training in the archaeological aspects of anthropology brought an immediacy to the class that I found delightful.
