Dr. P is incredibly enthusiastic and makes her lectures and class discussions fun and engaging. Her grading is a little strange but fair. Her feedback on graded assignments is a little hit or miss so it can be difficult to know what you need to fix for future assignments. She is fun to talk to and very willing to help out when you ask.

Population class was extremely interesting and one of the most rewarding classes ive ever taken. She does a great job covering th issues of population from every angle and lets you come to many of your own conclusions. Ive had her twice and shes one of the most intelligent professors ive had yet.

Dr. Papadakis is such a great teacher. She is so passionate about the subject. This class made me decide to declare my major as Geographic Science. She really inspires her students to make a difference in the real world. I would highly recommend this class, even just to gain new perspective on other cultures and social issues.

She can be very one sided and is extremely liberal, you have to actually do work and study to do well in the class but she is a really nice lady and really helpful if you stay on her good side. I would highly recomend her for a fun and semi-easy class, the only hard part are the tests.

She is an awesome teacher that is very passionate about the subject material. I got a C on my first test but she worked with us and I ended up with an -A. Do not get the textbook. The class was 2:30 hrs on a monday. But she gave a break every class period. Great teacher take her if you get the chance.

I love this class!! It is much more than locating places. You do have a 10-question map quiz for each "module" that are really easy if you spend some time to memorize the countries. Most of the class is dealing with interactions between people and cultural issues. She is very passionate about the topics & will make you want to "be the change."

Excellent professor. I learned a great deal in her class. There are optional worksheets that I recommend doing because they help clarify things, three tests, and six HW assigements that are one page. If you pay attention, this class is not difficult and is extremely interesting.

Lots of Extra Credit! All in all the class is not too difficult if you apply some common sense and pay attention. Test did seem a little radom at times, but nothing unmanagable. You really get the impression that she wants her students to suceed and she goes out of her way to help students be sucessful.

cool lady, really laid back...keeps you from stressing. gives you two weeks to do homework (one page easy essay) info she pulls for tests is a lil random...but you can get an average grade without studying if you come to class. take this class, you will enjoy it. its alot of common sense and interesting stuff. lots of extra credit

Easily the best professor and best class that I have taken in my whole college career, and that is saying a lot because I'm a fifth year. The class isn't 100% easy, but time flies in it!! Such amazing topics and discussions that I was always sooo upset when I looked at the clock and class was over... THAT NEVER HAPPENS!

One of my favorite professors. She makes the class genuinely interesting & her personality makes you want to go to class. She is funny, easy to talk to, & very understanding. Tests are fair; it isn't impossible to get 100 on them. Do the worksheets, homeworks, & study a little before the test; you'll get an A. Definately recommended!

Dr. Papadakis rocks! She's a funny professor who's tests arn't hard but arn't easy, studing for an hour the night before will land you a B. Gives out a lot of extra credit, which is easy like watching a movie and talking to her about it in her office. Easy homework grades, take this class you will not leave with any thing lower than a B.

I go to class because it's interesting, not because of the attendance policy. You have six homeworks pass/fail, but normally pass. Test seems really hard but I got over a hundred on the first one thinking I failed. She wonderful, very helpful not only with the class but always willinng to listen. Favorite teacher so far at JMU!!! Take her class
