One of the best math professors I have ever had at SJSU. She was very good at explaining and did many examples in class. Gave homework that was optional. Her quizzes were exact questions from the homework. Midterm questions are all from the book and homework. Overall very nice professor and would recommend her to everyone taking Math 42.

Her lectures are helpful so try not to skip it. Even though she doesn't collect hw, all quizzes are based on it so do it all. Also some of the hw questions are asked in exams. If you do well on the quizzes it can make a grade of a difference. She tends to curve all the exam grades slightly. Overall really nice and great prof. 10/10 would recommend.

She goes over all the material needed and does plenty of examples so you can understand all the concepts. All the quizzes and tests are based on the homework, so if you do it and keep up with it, you'll get an easy A. If you get lost, just talk to her. She's extremely welcoming and willing to help you until you understand the material.

Professor Pryvarnikova is a great lecturer. She explains things very clearly and answers questions well. Homework is optional, but weekly quizzes take problems directly from the HW. Her exams were not too hard -- any struggle on my part was due to weakness in math -- though I felt they were kind of long...I wish I skipped problems that were harder.

Homework optional but all quizzes and tests completely based on homework and class. The homework is easy... i recommend getting Chegg for solutions. 30% for 2 midterms, 10% for quizzes, and 30% for final. The quizzes are easy 1 question based on the hw she gave out the day prior and the quizzes can obviously boost you a whole letter grade-do them

She writes alot on white board. Exams are very hard, but quiz are right from your homework. Don't need to turn in homework. Be ready to write a lot of proofs. This class is difficult/confusing as it is. No extra credit. If you try to solve problem you will get partial credit.

Loved her, in fact she came in to sub math6b once and she had an ovation. She follows green sheet, when you visit her during office hours she is more than helpful, and as there are many chances to pass this class. I recommend her.

Pryvarnikova is wonderful. She actually keeps up with the green sheet and effectively teaches the material. Quizzes come straight from the Hw, so be sure to review beforehand. There are also two bonus quizzes that can boost your grade 3%. Tests are fair, and grading is slightly curved. I won't lie, this class is a little difficult but doable.

Very clear on lectures, able to explain things in plain english. Not an easy grader but more than fair. Extremely helpfull during office hours. Tends to rush through lectures, but that's because there is so much material to cover and so little time. Excelent teacher.

She is very smart and can communicate clearly in her lectures. She doesn't go too much into homework questions asked but always offers to help in office hours. She doesn't rush through lectures but she feels pressed for time so she definately stays on track and teaches what is needed and is very very nice!

She wants to follow her green sheet strictly, and get through all her material as fast as possible. Quizzes at the very last minute of class - right off the homework (not collected or graded). Extra credit quizzes offered at the end of semester. Exams and finals are completely different than textbook. KNOW YOUR FORMULAS!

She's very nice and understands her materials very well. Although she has European accent, she goes over the material that you don't get from her lecture. Her office hours are very useful. I recommand you to take with this professor. You will get at least a "B" if you study over the guide she gave.
