Comment:
Challenging course materials, thought-provoking films and documentaries shown during the entire semester, clear PowerPoint slides, interesting but hard assignment and exam questions. Overall, it was a great course, and Dr. Woodrow was patient, approachable, knowledgeable, and funny. I worked hard, learned a lot, and earned an A- in the end.

Dr. Woodrow was a nice person, who knew the subject matter very well. However, she was a tough grader when grading our papers and two in-class exams. Although crib notes were allowed for the two exams, it still could be challenging to get a higher grade on each one due to heavy course materials. Be prepared if you want to take this course with her!

This was a really nice prof, however it was a joke for a university class. We watched a documentary EVERY single class, her lectures were the form of powerpoints that she copy and pasted from the internet, and the text book is awful. Seriously, such a waste of money to take this class, you honestly could have taught it to yourself.

I liked this teacher. I thought she showed a lot of enthusiasm for a late class. Nevertheless, her exams were tough. A lot of work but it all payed off in the end :)

Great professor, very knowledgeable and passionate. She is a little arrogant but overall is quite good. At start of class material seems too much to be able to study for but she encourages cheat notes in the exams.

if you enjoy a great deal of superfluous reading material, lectures that breeze through the course material, power note taking (becuase she removes her overheads as fast as she puts them up), enjoy watching cheesy pbs movies, than this course is for you!

Phenomenal teacher. Interesting lectures, and fascinating tangents. There is a lot of reading to do, but if you keep up, exams are a breeze. Very dynamic class, with a lot of student participation. Very cool.
