Comment:

Do the online practice test in my courses and you will pass , he was rude to a few students and did not explain problems well . He personally was not that mean to me but I do recall asking him about a math problem and being more confused after he explained it. Overall , take him if you can self teach .

I spend close to 10-16 hours a week preparing for quizzes, homework, and seeing a fantastic tutor. I sought out Accessibility Services for more time on tests and he was rude about it, luckily, by law he must follow ADA needs. He acted as though serving my needs was an inconvenience and kept cordial over email because the email is monitored. Worst!

Took him online and even if you do all the homework and quizzes, the midterm and final is worth like 90% of your grade. Those with test anxiety should beware.

Very chill class, you don't even have to show up to the classes. Tests are only 20 questions long and very east, just take the practice tests online and you will pass. Aleks is an easy program to learn math on, DePass will always help you if you have questions. I recommend taking this class !!

He's there for money and that is it. He yells at you for making a small error and makes you miserable because of it. If you're not a strong person in math he is not for you. I passed with great tutors and studying six hours every night. Stay away!!!!!!

All he does is make fun of you and pounds you to the ground. If I did not have a background in math I would have failed his class. He does not care about you, himself, or his peers. RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe I haven't submitted this yet. Professor Depass was one of the worst math Professors I have had. It seems as though he is too good to teach lowly math classes. He doesn't take time to explain things properly, and the one time I asked a question in class (in the first few weeks), he berated me. I take professor rating seriously fyi

I felt like I was Light from Death Note in this class and he was L trying to destroy me in every test. If you want a challenge, then sure take it. If you are only for the credit, then I would recommend you to take other professor.

He's often unprepared; forgets his book, doesn't have material ready before class, and is often late to class. We are incredibly behind in this class since he took 1 week off for personal reasons (which is fair), now he's speeding through the chapters to make up for lost time. Save yourself the hassle and take a different professor. I wish I did.

This professor basically goes through the textbook "Checkpoints" and works through those problems in class. I was fortunate enough to remember almost all of the material from high school, because otherwise I would not have done very well. If you prefer to be independent and just follow through the book to learn, you will find this class to be fine.

First time taking Stat; through high school and my time at SPC, I have received A's in all of my math classes; I work hard. I ended with a B+ in the class because I had an incredible tutor, but even with the tutor I found myself close to failing midway through the semester. DePass has little patience and gets angry easily; would not recommend.

Get ready to be punished. He is there to teach and not help anybody when needed. I had to use the tutoring center everyday until I was done. Didn't appreciate getting yelled at for simple mistakes. Do not take if you wanna fail and study six hours for his tests. Take with different professor.

He makes math into the hardest subject you'll take for math requirements. You can be smart in math, and he will still make fun of you. If you are a student with a disability do not take this guy. Drop after the first meeting, cause it gets brutal down the stretch. His tests are hard and use the learning support center heavily. Not recommend.

This guy is horrible, I never would recommend this guy. In all my life I have taken full accountability or my failing grade (which arent many), but I failed this class becasue this instructor is horrible. He forgets to teach chapters and tells us to take a test for that chapter? That is unacceptable. This guy is horrible. Do not take his class!!!!

he was terrible. lectures were long and boring, and even though I listened, I did't understand it at all. Wouldn't bump my grade up a point to make it passing, and didn't explain things very well at all. the quizzes were really hard because they were online

I took Professor Depass for college algebra and if I didn't have prior knowledge about algebra, or a solid foundation in math, I wouldn't have passed his class. He was very unclear about due dates for the online homework, and he can be very rude sometimes. I would not take him if you're not strong in math.
