Comment:

Mr. Paloa was a great experience! In-class he really explains the concepts and gives you time to actually ask questions. If there is anything unclear you can stop by his office and he's always glad to help. He doesn't try to try to trick you on his tests, he tests your knowledge on the topic. If I had the chance to take him again, I wouldn't wait.

Absolutely the worse teacher you can get, I've had some bad ones but this guy takes the cake. He needs someone to teach him how to lesson plan, never have enough time to cover all the material and the material he doesn't cover will be the majority of the test. He's a real piece of sh*t, find ANY other teacher, DO NOT take his class.

This professor is wonderful! He is the closest I have to come to a true professor at DelTech. I am treated as a true student and not a child by this professor as opposed to several other Math teachers I had at this school. I love the way he explains the material and gives examples. You do need to do the homework but that wasn't an issue for me.

Great teacher! He really knows the material and helps you to understand it too. He gives lots of examples. This is one of the best teachers I have had so far at Del Tech. If you are looking for a good teacher and are willing to do the work he is the teacher for you.

He is very easy going and easy to talk to. He exams are not hard, nothing unexpected. All the materials in the tests were the easier ones in class or in homework. I took discrete math with him. If you prefer an instructor that doesnt go too fast with a sense of humor , this is the guy.

The greatest math teacher on the planet. His note taking is exceptional. His lecturing is exceptional. Attend class, pay attention and you will grasp every concept. Just completed Calculus III with him. Would definitely take another math class with him.

I'm currently taking MAT190 with this teacher because It was my only option, However; the teacher is very hard to find, doesn't explain the hard parts of the problems, and tends to give you an attitude when you simply ask for deeper understanding, DO NOT RUIN YOUR GPA!.

This teacher was great! He really spent time helping all of the students in the class. I took him for MAT 190 and would take a class with him again. Doesn't try to trick you and is very smart. You can tell he knows a lot but makes it easy for students to learn.

In my opinion, lots of things in the test aren't seen in the class, which eventually makes you not do well. I am good at math, but this tests with this teacher were insane.

I took this teacher twice, I took Linear Algebra and it was great, However; It was a big difference in pr-calculus, I studied a lot for each test, but it was just impossible.

Register with a different teacher for pre-calc, In my class out of 30 students, only 4 of us stayed in the course, but not all of us 4 passed. You will have to learn by yourself.

Just completed a semester of MAT 129 with Mr. Paola. Although Math Department is exceedingly concrete with the grading criteria, Mr. Paola is always available to assist if extra help is needed. Always available to help during office hours and very responsive to email. Creates great smart board notes for study guide and always friendly to students!

This teacher is very good at explaining concepts and goes through multiple examples, even if it means being a lesson behind. He really wants to see the students succeed. The homework you get is course based and for 181 its a LOT. That is a good thing though as you get the hang of it more. Would recommend this teacher!

If you are used to using Blackboard for notes or like practice test before a test then avoid. Zero use of technologies available to students. This makes the Principles of Discrete Math a lot harder than it needs to be.

I had this professor for Linear Algebra. I didn't think I would be able to pass this class and I don't like math very much. But this professor helped me through this class by giving examples, extra help when needed and having a classroom like a real college, not community college. He will do anything to help a student. He is the best at DTCC.
