Sr. Cruz cares about his students. He has office hours where you can go over tests, exams, or homework (sometimes he'll even change your grade). He makes Spanish fun and easy to understand. He does, however, assign a lot of online homework, but it is manageable and not that bad if you keep up with it. The best Spanish Professor ever.

He's a great teacher! its very important that you attend every class or you will fall behind very quickly. Each class hour is full of information, so pay attention, and write everything down. Make sure your going over the material that you learned that day and previously to make sure your retaining the information learned.

He is very kind. I went to his office hours. But He is incredibly strict on attendance, if you are in high school sports don't take this class, it is hard to get the absence excused. There is a lot of homework, every single night of the quarter.

He an extremely nice professor, if you need help or you don't quite understand something he has long availability hours. If your Spanish speaker, this is a good class to start with before moving up. You have a test every week and homework every day due at a minute before midnight. You have an oral final and a final on grammar which is cumulative.

He is very power hungry and honestly sad. HOMEWORK EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Don't skip lots bc he takes points for attendance but you definitely won't miss anything if you do.

He is very kind and wants you to succeed. He is very particular. I recommend going to his office, it helps a lot if you are struggling. I don't like his strict polices, but his kindness and helpfulness are great. There is homework every single day. He takes points off every time you miss class. I am taking him again for Spanish 122.

Senor Cruz really cares for his students and want them to succeed. Open and very helpful with questions. TONS of homework, every single night. I wouldn't say its a hard class, just time consuming.

Amazing teacher. Very kind and caring. But he gives out daily homework (expect 30 min- 1 hr daily) and quizzes about every week. However, the work is pretty easy if you pay attention and read the book.

This professors class is easy but if you miss five days he will drop you from the class which is annoying because class time is spent doing book work and stuff that is not essential to pass. Also, he gives out at least 30 minutes of homework every night including Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.

This is by far the worst class I've ever taken. Professor Cruz is a very harsh grader and homework is constant and very heavy. He is not flexible at all with grades or assignments. I have never gotten below an 80% in any class I've ever taken, and this one I just barely passed with a 61%. Would not recommend.

Cruz is a great teacher, he's really nice and very approachable. He's the only teacher I feel comfortable with asking questions. He does give us a lot of homework but its very simple since we go over it in class, it really does help in the long run. I would happily take him for another quarter.

Cruz is a great guy, I took him for all of my Spanish credits at CBC, he is really homework heavy, all of it is online and late work automatically gets a zero (If you are an extremely busy person you may want to rethink this choice). His testes are relatively easy and each one usually has a point or two of extra credit :)

Antonio is a very nice man. Reading some of these reviews and I feel as if nobody paid attention to him in class. Yes, he gives a lot of homework; he probably gives you an hour of homework to do each day. The homework is easy though because he tells you EXACTLY what to do and how to do it. Great guy and I recommend him as a teacher!

He does know what he is talking about and you can learn some things. But there is homework 7 days a week, minimum and hour a night. He'll also dock you down attendance points for going to the bathroom. Really old school type of guy, would not take again.

Took him as my first time taking Spanish. He is a nice teacher and wants you to learn but I found it very difficult after the first 3 quizzes. Just got my grade posted and I have a 71%. According to him I have a 1.7 gpa. Worst gpa in the last 2 years at Cbc. Just disappointing. If you have taken Spanish or speak in home then you may do fine.

Very tough class. Immense amount of homework and he docks you points for everything you do. Gotta us the restroom? Well too bad your gettin docked points for leaving the class. Quiz's are very rigorous and you get very little time to complete them meaning you are forced to rush through them as fast as possible.

Really liked this teacher, he's a lot better than the other Spanish teachers at CBC. The only reason I ended up not taking past first quarter was the supersite homework. It was really hard and frustrating to get through every night, since it is a computer program. Didn't feel I learned a lot from it compared to written homework.
