He's so cute, in a old man way. He does like to lecture the entire time, but shows occasional videos. He wasn't hard at all, just study the PPTs. Those are basically the tests. Lots of extra credit. He's so sweet, and tries to crack small jokes.

Dr. Paller is a super chill professor, and this class is an easy A. If you don't do well, it's on you. His tests come directly from the power points that he shows in class. He also posts the power points online. Take him!!

Comment:

Dr. Paller is one of the BEST instructors at AU. The class is very easy if you study and keep up with the labs (which also are super easy). I looked forward to coming to his class and would love to take him again. I took this class to boost my math/science GPA, and this would be a great class for anybody who is looking to do the same. Great class!!

Comment:

Dr. Paller's lectures are quite brutal. He's monotone and not that interesting. He can be funny and it's a little awkward sometimes. However, his exams are easy. He reviews in the class prior to the exam day. Attendance is mandatory so make sure you show up. The labs are usually papers but it's better than actually staying after lecture for lab.

Currently taking Dr. Paller. He is awesome! His lectures are the powerpoints verbatim, but so are the tests! He has a sarcastic sense of humor and is willing to help in any way possible. He takes the stress out of Biology so that you can actually learn and retain information. I would take him again if I could!

Professor Paller is a super nice man but his lectures are death by powerpoint. His tests are straight from the notes and there's never any surprises on them. Overall, really easy class. Attendance isn't an issue as long as you let him know ahead of time that you won't be there, talk to him after class, and don't abuse his kindness.

I loved Professor Paller. He was very helpful and clear on what to expect in the class. He went over the test a week before so just type up what he says & study off of that. Lectures are extremely long but labs are almost always take home or only last 20 minutes. The 2nd test is the hardest but I made A's on the other three. Labs are easy.

Dr. Paller is very sarcastic and that keeps the class interesting. It's an easy A as long as you pay attention and study a little. The lab notebook was easy but it took a while to do so I suggest you stay on top of it. We rarely went to the lab. Take him if you just need to get a science out of the way!

You will make an A without trying, so use lecture time to ask questions and gain bio knowledge for your own sake. Paller's lectures are long but contain important facts everyone should know. Because his testslabs are so easy, you can focus on retaining information with no stress. Dry and charming humor. Kind, helpful and understanding. I'm lucky!

Take him!Great teacher.Gives you everything you need for test way ahead of time and lab test are take home.No book needed, he hands out pwpt slides with everything on them.Very smart man.Be prepared to stay full class time but he does his b/c lab is rarely longer than 30 minutes.Understands that you have other classes.Easy to talk to!

Awesome professor with a great sense of humor- he gives powerpoints which he uses directly to make tests. No need to buy the book. As long as you maintain your pulse you will pass, unless you are a complete jackass in which case you should quit school anyway.

EASY biology class. Powerpoints are the tests. Did not buy the book. He works with you and gives credit for answers on tests if majority of class missed it. Very laid back but you need to attend class. It makes him happy.

Jim Carrey of Biology. The best science teacher ever. power point lectures covering everything on the test which the material comes as no surprise & are on scantron multiple choice/guess. gives extra credit & considers attendance as bonus pts. for final grade

excellent professor. he is absolutly wonderful. i would recommend him to any one who is like me and can not understand a lick of biology. very, very helpful and he is willing to work with you if he sees you are trying. also gives extra credit for participating. i absoulutly loved him. he is a wonderful man.

as long as you study your notes, you will be fine; i didn't even have to open my book. he reviews for both lecture and lab, so i would advise to attend class. he's pretty clear and he has a sense of humor too!
