Good Lecturer but assignments have nothing to do with lecture. Very hard to take notes. wants to be helpful. Expects you to hold up your end of the deal - eg do the reading and craft good questions.

Comment:
Barely noticeable accent. Very smart. Research at IBM. Great teacher, good analogies as long as you don't take them too seriously, hence the word analogy. The textbook is also very good, so you have something to fall back on. Projects are easy to moderate. Very lenient grader. Buzz words exist in the industry, deal. 2nd half of semester is boring.

Very very smart. Seems possible to learn by osmosis from him. However, he doesn't focus on class material and "teaches" via poorly crafted analogies. Has a hard time explaining concepts without the use of said analogies. Projects vary in difficulty, but grading is rather lenient. Exams require studying. Defers to useless TA on all accounts.

Everything the other 426 rater said plus, his grading scheme makes no sense at all. I actually got a question on a HW wrong for being TOO detailed. When he lectures he uses lots of buzz words and BSy wordings, you really get the sense he doesn't know what hes talking about. He's lazy, never posts things he says he will. Definately avoid

Absolutely horrible teacher. Never did what he said he would. "Midterm" was 80% of the way through the semester. Didn't learn anything, half the time he spends talking about stuff not even related to computer science.

Very good lecturer. You have to put forth effort in his classes, but one of the best teachers in the department - in my opinion.

Speaks above comprehension of most students. Inaccessable. No office hours. If you want to see him, he directs you to his TAs-who may or may not be knowledgable enough to help you.Gives pop quizzes, picks on you in lecture when 'lost'.
