Comment:

Dr. Jaffe obviously loves the job she has, and the material she teaches. I have never been strong in English, but she made me want to push myself to do better. Class discussions can get very personal, but the class period never felt long or boring. Would definitely take again.

Comment:

Dr. Jaffe is an amazing professor. She is so, so kind and is available to help students. She has office hours (I would recommend going to them) and she makes time when needed. There is usually an essay every 1 or 2 weeks, but they are very easy to write. There is a lot of group work and class activities; attend class to get the points. Great class.

One of the best professors I've ever had. She is also one of the nicest professors that I've ever had. She genuinely cares about her students and does everything in her power to have everyone be successful in her class. She is a very passionate teacher and as long as you show up, do the homework, and pay attention, you're guaranteed a GREAT grade.

Amazing professor! I really enjoyed her class and she truly does care about her students. I became a lot stronger writer because of her and her lectures were always interesting. Gives lots of extra credit opportunities and interesting essay topics. Wish i had her for 1A

TAKE HER! She's one of the best and easiest professors out there! I took honors and read 2 whole books + some articles from another book. There are 5 essays in total + research paper. You can rewrite 2 out of 5 essays. Don't get left behind the readings and you'll be perfectly fine! Don't be afraid to ask or go to her office. Very helpful professor

Fantastic professor who truly loves what she does. Lets you re-write all your essays with the feedback she gives. Going to her office hours helps a bunch as she will proofread your papers and give great feedback on how to improve. The essays are assigned back to back,but she gives ample time to complete them. Overall fantastic, and would take again

Dr. Jaffe is a great professor. I have always hated English but in her class i absolutely loved it. She does assign a lot of work but if you keep up with it daily it will feel like a piece of cake. I HIGHLY recommend her if you can find available seats.

She teaches a curriculum that not only encourages critical thinking skills, but also urges students to use these skills to consider and evaluate the world around them. Best teacher ever! Trust me, as long as you go to class and pay attention, you won't need to worry about anything! The text book is mandatory. The class is easy. I'd totally recommend taking her class. You won't regret it, trust me!

Comment:

Dr. Jaffe is an awesome teacher. I hate writing, but her class was interesting. She puts you in a "familia" group to get you accustom to work as a team which is good in the long run. If you don't know about the holocaust, get ready because your research paper is on it. She is very helpful and lets you rewrite your essays.
