Dr Timson is amazing. His lectures are clear and entertaining! Your grade is very test heavy but he offers lots of extra credit! If you can figure out a good study method asap then it is very possible to get an A. Study hard, put the work in, listen during lecture and you will do good!

Dr. Timson is one of the best professors I've had! He cares about how his students are doing and he wants to help you learn. He made the lectures interesting. He also gave us practice tests before each test, which were very helpful! There were also bonus opportunities before each test.

Timson, as a person, is great. His class; however, is a nightmare. It's geared towards pre-med students and people who are good test takers and memorizers. I've never studied harder for any class in my life, and I needed a B- to keep my spot in the nursing program and came short by 5 points, so I have to take it again.

This class was way too difficult for a 300 level. He has the material geared towards students who want to further their profession in becoming a doctor. I went to his office hours so many times and studied everyday, yet I saw no improvements. Take this class ANYWHERE else! I am in a nursing school now and NONE of my classes are nearly as demanding

I would highly recommend taking somewhere else. This was by far the hardest I have ever taken. I put all other classes aside to focus on this class, yet I did not see my grade improve. I would say, study the lectures and powerpoints. Also, read the textbook!! (It helps sometimes). DO the OBJECTIVES found under blackboard and know them!!!

Very difficult class. Be ready to put in the work. Timson is a great professor and wants you to succeed but you have to have the time to put into the class to get the grade you want or need.

This class is honestly so hard. It almost seems like its set up for students to fail! Tests are literally impossible to do well on. Timpson is a great guy but this class is ridiculous!

Do not take physiology at MSU if you are watching your GPA. Take it at OTC. Timson gives hard tests. If you do not test well, you will not do well in the class. Study the powerpoints and read the chapters in the book and take extensive notes. I would not recommend this class at all!

Timson is by far the best teacher I've ever had! I'm going to miss him so much! This class is so hard but if you put in the work it can be done. Record lectures! What he says is what's on the test! Know the slides. Seriously re listen to his lectures. First test I got a 68 and then I scored 96,100 and a 98.

Timson tops all my fav professors. Personable, super funny, great feedback. Record lectures & re-listen to them while taking notes on the powerpoint. I suggest printing them 1st so you can add details & draw arrows. Thank me later. Grades struggled until I did this!!! Finally aced a test & he addressed me personally & was thrilled for me. He cares.

Dr Timson is super sweet and will bend over backwards to help you if you go to his office hours. HARDEST class I've taken, you need to be serious about passing if you want to survive it. You need to study the concepts and record lectures! He posts objectives for every unit, go through and answer every one in detail! Went from F's to A's and B's.

Great professor, but this is a notoriously difficult class. I really respect the fact that he gets your cogs moving. He also uses a lot of funny stories to make a concept understandable. If you attend class regularly, record the lectures, and study with a group, you'll get a decent grade in the class.

This class honestly wasn't too hard, you just have to put in the effort. He's an awesome teacher though, and keeps the class laughing with his stories and explanations. I barely studied and pulled off a B in the class (summer motivation was at an all time low) so if you just sit down and read through the book and relisten to lectures you'll be set!

Great professor, but a very hard class. Lots of opportunities for bonus points. The lecture grade comes from 4-100 point unit tests and a 200 point final. 300 points come from the lab, which is much easier and balances out poor test scores. Overall, I felt like I learned a ton, but the tests were so difficult that they didn't reflect that.

Physiology is a difficult course, but getting an A is completely doable. The only grades in lecture are tests, so your tests grades are super important. He gives extra credit every unit, altogether almost 40 extra credit points which is huge. He is a good teacher, the content is just difficult. You have to study plenty in advance for exams.

One of the toughest class in the BMS dept. My advice, sit in the front row, record the lectures, play back the recordings while going through the powerpoint, take notes, group study, more importantly -READ THE ASSIGNED CHAPTERS OF TEXTBOOK AND WRITE DOWN IMPORTANT DETAILS - doing so will clear things up a lot. If you can, avoid Cameron for lab.

The tests are extremely hard. If you are not a good test taker DO NOT take this class. All of the lectures are filled with too much information as well as each unit. Get ready to study and not have a social life.. Would NOT recommend. Sadly he is the only professor teaching this class, so if you have to take it, GOOD LUCK.

Tough, in my opinion he goes more in depth than he needs to, especially with the cardiovascular unit. I recorded his lectures and listened to them and wrote everything down but didn't ace an actual test until I went through his powerpoints and filled in more info from the text book- got a 98% on the test I did that for. DONT TAKE CAMERON FOR LAB
