Dr. Ritter was fantastic! Lectures are straight from the powerpoint so you don't need to attend, but you get bonus points for attendance! She offers several opportunities for EC. There's 5 online quizzes which are super easy. No exams. 1 paper. 1 group presentation. She grades easily. Lots of reading, some of which is repetitive. OUTSTANDING PROF!

Great professor and very passionate. Tons of extra credit opportunity. There are assigned readings, quizzes are online and timed, but easy. They have an extra credit question too. There are clan debates, clan throw downs. The class is split into clans. Definitely recommend her!!

Professor Ritter was fantastic! She is very understanding about different circumstances throughout the semester. She is also very passionate about what she teaches, which makes the class that much more interesting. Participation does count, and reading is involved, but compared to other classes, this one was not overly difficult.

I took Dr. Ritter's on-line course entitled Peoples and Cultures of Native North America. This professor is well organized and her lectures are very thorough. Clearly, she is one of the best on-line professors at UNO and is passionate about Native Americans and First Nations. I highly recommend Dr. Ritter.

Dr. Ritter is amazing. She is the type of professor that truly cares about her students. When I got severely ill during the semester, she postponed deadlines until I was better and told me to focus solely on my health. The class is very in-depth and can be complicated, but she is happy to help anyone. Appreciate her kindness and knowledge of NAMS.

Dr Ritter was awesome! Her class was a challenge but I truly think she made us students think about anthropology in a unique way. Our class had debates that made us consider things from an anthropological perspective. I recommend her highly.

This is an amazing and incredibly knowledgeable professor. I would recommend anyone take any offered classes. Finding approachable professors in 4000-level courses is next to impossible, but this professor is just that. Text is for clarity's sake. Additional readers are a must.

Dr. RItter is an amazing professor! She's a very fair grader, and while her tests do require you to study, as long as you have the powerpoint lectures and you've read the chapters, you'll be fine! All of the questions are off of the study guide she gives you way in advance, and overall I feel like like this class was definitely worth taking!

Great professor, very passionate about the subject and always interesting. Yes, she forgot to tell us about the book review in CLASS but it was on the syllabus, so if you were paying attention, you knew you needed to be reading & she gave us an extension so it worked out. As long as you try, you'll do well. She's super duper nice, too.

Talk about a knowledgeable professor. She's a blast, and she isn't tough on anyone. When you take the test, do the review sheet and read the chapters and you'll do great. She kindof forgot to tell us about the book review, so don't forget that either. I'd take this class for sure if you need an Anthro credit.

Very passionate about her subjects. However, is somewhat hypocritical and grades you on your opinion. Tries to make you think her way and her way only and enforces this by giving low grades to those who do not share her viewpoint. Do not give into her, remind her that students can not be graded on their opinions and beliefs.

Great teaching and really knows the culture areas of Native North America. Unfortunately, students in class asked stupid questions and she helped facilitate by answering. Tests are multiple choice and essay but one needs to have studied well to get a good grade on them
