She is super funny and high energy. Like the last person wrote, it felt more like a ballet history class which gets boring after months of just talking about that. I thought it was weird we did not mention hula seeing that we are in Hawaii. I hope they include other cultures since dance is found in more places than just France and Greece

Comment:

Dance history class: Betsy is high energy and keeps us engaged. Always ready to discuss dance history theories in a friendly manner. The problem with the class is the subject matter left out. We emphasize ballet history and its origins from Greece. We do not learn dance history of Polynesia, South America, Asia, Africa or western Europe. Sad

She is one of the best teachers I have ever had, and hands down the best dance teacher I have ever had. She encourages her students to explore, embrace, and exercise a variety of disciplines (in theatre or other). She is so well informed and so open-minded. She is phenomenal and is truly what it means to be a teacher!
