Comment:
Unbelievably boring and very inarticulate in a lecture setting. It's somewhat frustrating to listen to him talk in class. However, the group project is easy and interesting; mid term and final are both easy if you read the readings and attend class. If you have an interest in the world outside North America, I would recommend this class

Dreadfully boring, has participation marks so you have to show on your day. Talks about random things, very pro Brazil. He puts the country into every lecture somehow. Midterm was fair, group assignment is assigned. Easy marks, but avoid his class if you can.

He is one of the foremost experts on taxation in the world, so if you have any opportunity to grab one of his classes, do it! He's dry and kinda nerdy, but he knows his stuff and appreciates interesting debate. I learned a tonne about taxation in his class and it has help shape my future endeavours. Brilliant guy!

If you have a chance to take a course with Bev Dahlby, take it. Professor Dahlby is by far one of the most intelligent and knowledgeable professors I have had so far. He is very experienced in the areas of public finance and taxation and this will help you. His exams are very fair and the class average is usually very high.

He sure knows taxes. He's very dry, and some of the calculus equations he writes down are intimidating - good thing they don't show up on the exam! He has very fair exams.
