He is an amazing lecturer, IF you are really serious about sociology. It's my passion, so his lectures were enlightening and inspirational. Also he loves to talk one on one so take advantage of this. Overall AMAZING lecturer and professor. I would take another class in a heart beat.

This class is one of the worst classes I have ever taken. His lectures are dry, dense, and draining. His 70-minute classes feel longer than my 105-minute classes. I've never hated a class so much.

If you can stand nonstop lecturing for nearly 2 hours straight every class. then you'll be ok. No tests, but essays were a little hard because he always wants arguments

I loved Domhoff, he's extremely intelligent and gives great historical lessons. he really wants his students to be engaged. i learned a lot from domhoff, ill never forget him!

This class is irrelevant. All of the topics brought up came to the conclusion of "we dont know" or "we were wrong, there is no connection". i was really excited for the class, but it was a total bummer. only a midterm and a final, so major pressure on verrrry hard tests.

Domhoff is not a good teacher, and I would not recommend him to other students. If you're smart, you can get an A, but it has less to do with actual learning and thinking, than with simply taking his side on various issues and showing him that you agree with his views. He does not encourage critical thinking or questioning - just conformity.
