Birch is not very clear at first but if you ask for help she will provide it. I once took a quiz in her office hours and she basically gave me the answers because I asked for help. She is only a tough grader if it's obvious that you aren't putting any work into your papers. It is an easy A, all you have to do is pay attention.

Comment:

Moonwomon is a cool and understanding lady. The class is boring but I blame the subject rather than the professor. She assigns a few essays, one big research project at the end. She is very cool about cutting class short if she thinks she got her point across. Overall she is a sweet person but the class is very boring.

Birch was always very unclear about assignments. Her lectures are long and boring. Don't bother emailing her because she won't reply, and going to her office hours is a hit or miss(usually a miss) She is very critical and likes class participation. She sends around a sign in sheet every class so be there. Would not recommend. Not an enjoyable class

She is not very clear on what she assigns to you, but she does grade essays and tests very easy. She never responds to emails, so don't even bother trying. She speaks very slow in class, so it can be very boring, but sometimes she will cancel class or let everyone out very early.

She is a very nice lady, and wants to help you with your essays but her style is just very bleh. If you make an effort with her, she will make one right back. We had three in-class essays, three quizzes, and a final paper with a presentation. Overall, I'd say take the class just don't be lazy

Birch was one of the worst teachers that I have had so far. She was not any better than having Zeno. She was confusing and made everything difficult to understand especially since her voice was so monotone and boring. Hated every second of her class. Just be a teachers pet and you will get an A.

Not a very informational class, but is an easy a. Attend her office hours, she'll revise your essays with you and let you re-do them if necessary. No tests, a few in class essays and a research paper is the final. Nothing against her, she's really nice and helpful if you make the effort to have a conversation

She is very passionate about english and tries to get everyone involved. She is super easy and just loves it when people try. She is a good teacher. we read did use the books a lot and had a few tests on them and had pretty straight foward essays.

DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASS WITH THIS TEACHER!! I did not learn one thing in this class and she has made me dislike English, and I used to love it. She never makes sense, she never helps you, her writing is not legible, her voice is monotone, which makes the class really boring, and she never responds to emails. Even if you want easy class,NOT WORTH IT!!

Luckily I only had her over intersession. Very disorganized, gave vague assignments, and really doesn't add much. She's sorta awkward in student-teacher interaction. She uses a caine but sometimes forgets and makes everyone nervous as she wanders around the classroom. That said, it was super easy. Doesn't really feel like a college class.
