Really enjoyed the class, although it's long, Brad gives comments on everyone's work. I find the course interesting and I like the way Brad teaches it. I would definitely take him again!

Terrible teacher but excellent project supervisor. He'll gladly point you in the right direction and give you constructive feedback when you work on something, but don't expect any technical information--or even a clear idea of what he wants from you. Avoid his first-year classes, but do take the third-year ones.

Shows what's out there, and encourages ideas. Allowed me to focus on my interests and develop as an artist. Mostly monologues cuz STUDENTS don't have substantial input or are too shy. Those who bash for not teaching technical stuff expect the wrong things- blame Concordia for that (not Brad) then go to trade school, or get online/video tutorials.

Portfolio class! I've had him for 3 years and I agree his classes are disorganised, he seldom even knows what he's talking about (I had a networking/database class w him and he basically had whiz students teach in his place), and he seldom even TEACHES, period. But, take the portfolio class if you really feel like being as creative as you want :)

Comment:
he is not well prepared before he comes to the class. class content is randomly picked up from somewhere and not well organized. he marks the students without a serious criteria and does not respect the hard working and serious students.

I agree that he knows nothing, but I LOVE that class. That depend of the students profile, but the way he teaches is "Impress me, do whatever you want". It's an open project class with some limited indications. Perfect for creative people.

- technical knowlegde : NONE - helpfulness: "...um there should be tutorials about this on the internet.." - clarity: unclear, lacks organization skills, imprecise, doesnt know what he want from you - practically no lectures at all. During class you basically listen to student presentations all semester. - is a nice person, but NUL as a teache

I sure hope he will learn to give good written feedback and grade the stuff along the semester and not pop up a grade at the end

nice guy, but lacks integrity. classes lacked technical rigor, which he seems to lack, despite nature of course. always says nice things, does not comment technique. long arty farty talk that doesn't engage.

Brad is a really nice guy. He will always find something nice to say about a project (which is part of the problem). He is ok for creative input but lacks the technical competence to teach a high level course. Take him for a 200-level course.
