Professor Gillepsie definitely deserves some praise! "hilarious" "amazing lectures" "would take again". All tags I would have selected in addition to the 3. I took his summer A&P course, he cares about his students and takes the time to explain everything! study hard and you'll pass! Quiz&test everyday but material is on the lecture of that day!

pretty straightforward. gives you lecture notes wblanks for you to fill in which is great. the weekly assignments are easy &helpful to make sure you learn (the answers are in the back of the book-but i recommend you actually browse the chapter for the answers). you get to use a 3x5 flashcard on the weekly quiz and 4x6 for the final

Really good professor. If you do the assignments and study, tests aren't hard. Loved how he did lectures. You can print out lectures and fill in blanks so you can actually listen to the lectures instead of writing the whole time. Also uses a lot of visuals which helped a lot. The reason I got a B is that slacked on a few tests. Not a boring class.

Not crazy about this class. DEFINITELY not an easy A. I was just looking at class grades almost everyone has C's. attendance is DEFINITELY required to get an ok grade in class. HW (super easy) test/quiz every class that you cant afford to miss. I have managed to slide by with a B- w/out too much effort. It's an ok class. He is pretty boring though

This class was very difficult because he explained everything almost to a subatomic level instead of focusing on the broader aspects of zoology. For this reason we ended up having to skip important life processes at the end. Thankfully he focused mainly on the lecture notes on the test and gave us a study guide. Be prepared for a difficult class!!

really helpful teacher as long as you just ask your question, he will try his best to explain a topic until you understand. i took the class over summer, so i got to just focus on his class. he uses the book alot as reference for the lecture slide. i would recommend him to others

I really enjoyed taking his class. He was clear with everything we needed to do and he was always helpful and responds right away when I emailed him a question. The situations he explains to us are very thought provoking and he has an open mind to the types of solutions we may come up with.

I took his condensed class (offerred one day a week) and it was easy. He lectures via powerpoint as you take notes on a 3X5 notecard that you can use for each test at the end of class. There is homework due each class, but it is super easy. Attendance is mandatory if you want a good grade - no make-up exams. Great teacher!

what can i say? Professor Gillespie is one of the best professors in SCC. He teaches very clearly and always welcomes questions. Biology is always a hard subject, but he was very helpful with us. i defnitely recommend Professor Gillespie.

Teaches clearly and honestly. Separates environmental issues from the muddy politics that come with. Understands the economic realities that prevent us all from being perfectly green, but stresses the adoption of sustainable practices. Can discuss things like deforestation and dying reefs without becoming exasperated, always welcomes questions.

I didn't enjoy his class, he is extremely mono-tone, boring, and seems like your gonna fall asleep in the class. He takes too much time on the drawings in class, instead of saying lecture, he also gave us an exam right after spring break ( and no one studied). So i wouldnt recommend anyone to take him.

fun teacher and very passionate about environmental biology. kind of shy when approached by students but very knowledgeable and helpful.
