Comment:

There are a few science professors at Medicine Hat College that basically set you up for an A in their class. Dr. Lloyd is certainly one of them. Online lectures are clear, concise and adequately prepare you for all examinations. Go to class, look over the online lectures and do lots of his practice problems, and you will get an A in this course.

Dr. Lloyd was my lab instructor for Chem 201 and he is a great guy, but he marks very hard. But that's not the focal point. He's very easygoing, very approachable, gets to know all of his students. I wish he taught in other faculties because he is probably one of my favourites even though it wasn't subject matter I liked.

Extremely difficult course but Dr. Lloyd makes it doable with his podcasts, they're a lifesaver. Wish he would do different examples in the lecture though. I have always gotten along with him fabulously but other students have had personality conflicts. He has a very strong personality at times but usually he is intending to come across jokingly.

Dr. Lloyd was the best teacher I ever had at the MHC. His notes were super clear, and he also has extremely helpful podcasts. Organic chemistry is hard, but he really pushes you to do your best. I wish he taught all of my classes!

Brian is the best teacher I have ever had. Previous to this class I hated chemistry and am now considering changing majors so I can get more of it. He is a tough teacher but you will learn more than you could imagine from this guy. He manages to make class interesting and really cares about his students. Awesome job Dr. Lloyd!!!!

Absolutely the best teacher I have ever had. Makes a tough course like organic interesting and easy to understand. He is hilarious and makes going to a terrible class enjoyable! Pod casts are helpful and his tests are very fair. Lab was good, he may come across as a hard ass but def. has a soft spot! BEST PROF EVER!

Absolutely fantastic instructor. Crystal clear instruction, makes organic chemistry (*shudder*) bearable. However, while most found him to be a great guy, I found him to be occasionally rude, especially in lab. He picks favorites as well, which is a thumbs down in my books.

Comment:

Lloyd's classes are hard - there's simply no way around that. Organic is a gigantic and difficult to understand class; however, with Dr. Lloyd's help, doing well is a very real possibility. He's very loud and strict, but still has a great sense of humour and his classes are genuinely fun to be in. His podcasts are helpful if you miss a class, too.
