Professor Martens is a really good professor that does not give that much homework. He'll give a paper like every other week and maybe a quiz but they are really easy. The papers are on topics that are pretty famous in the technology world and they aren't boring. Super easy professor!

Great professor, took his class on campus and I thought his lectures were helpful and informative. He lets you use the textbook and your notes while taking the exams, which was a relief for me. Overall, fun class!

Martens is a great professor, he doesn't assign that much homework but his exams were worth the most points which wasn't my favorite. For me, homeworks took almost 2 hours to finish. I took his class on campus and I thought his lectures helped a lot. However, if you can handle studying on your own, then try to take his class online.

This class has the ability to be a fun class but he is so boring to listen to. He teaches just off slides that don't always make the most sense. The hardest part of the class is staying awake.

Prof. Martens was a great teacher. He was very nice, understandable and the class is easy to pass as long as you complete the work. If you have common knowledge in modern day technology you will be just fine. Got a B and slacked off a ton.

Professor Martens is so sweet. He cares about students, so take some time to go talk to him. Really passionate about CS, so you will have many topics to discuss with him. Very easy-going teacher and a lenient grader. Of course, you should give your best too. Only 3 exams. Not hard. Mainly study his slides and read the textbook.

Doo all the work and you can't fail. I was lazy so I ended with a B. All in all, he is very knowledgeable and brings real world examples into the assignments. There is no final, just 8 quizzes during the semester. Read the textbook and you will have no problems in this class. I would take him again if I were taking another CIS course.

Mr. Martens is a great teacher. The stuff he teaches is up to date and really useful. His lessons are never boring. Do the projects/homework, read the book, and you'll get a good grade. Some of you folks think you know all about computers, but he'll prove you wrong.

Prof. Martens is a great teacher! He is very passionate about what he teaches, nice guy, his tests are straightforward, he knows what he's talking about, gives you projects/home works that really helps you understand more, answers questions clearly. TAKE HIM!!! He even gave out candies to the class for halloween! Very, very nice guy. :)

Prof Martens is a perfect example of a great teacher. He is super passionate about teaching (like all teachers SHOULD be). He even brought in candy for us on Halloween! Definitely show up to class so you can understand the material, homework is fairly simple, study for the tests, and you'll get an A for sure.

He was very helpful. He is a good teacher and likes what he does. I found his tests sounded very intimidating because he tests you with matching, essay q's, fill in the blank, multiple choice. If you read the book and study the glossary you will do just fine!

I took the online version of this class. It was very easy. The homework between tests is very easy and helps a lot for the midterm and the final. If you do a majority of the reading and the homework you will do awesome!
