I learned a lot from Dr. Schultz. I appreciate his humility when it comes to thinking about different views of interpretation. He always sees each with a critical eye, but doesn't dismiss it quickly either. I love his passion for biblical studies and the degree to which he keeps up with his field. I think every Christian should take this class.

Comment:

Intelligent, honest, fearless, occasionally funny, occasionally curmudgeonly. One of my favorite professors. Cares about the truth and isn't afraid to tell you what he thinks it is. I learned a lot and my viewpoint about a lot of things changed. Took a few classes and would take more.

I love Dr. Schultz's dry wit and found his classes informative. Like others before me, I sometimes found it difficult to stay awake in his classes, but still learned a great deal. Good notes and expecting the unexpected really are the key to getting through his multiple guess tests.

This class was amazing! I learned so much and now, after the fact, wish I had taken more of his classes. Bib Lit was also great! Also,his tests are doable if you memorize your notes! One of my favorite profs!

Schultz is a brilliant man. Definitely have a class with him if you can. His Bib. lit class isn't hard--he teaches you lots but tells you exactly what he wants. His upper level classes are nice--no tests--so you can focus on enjoying learning.

I dont know why people think this class was hard. He told us 90% of the tests were from class; so i didnt even read the books and did fine. Just take notes. He can be boring, but he is worth taking because he is very smart, and there arent any papers.

Very hard. He expects a lot, perhaps too much. Interesting material - if you can grasp what he's trying to say. You are often left with no sound answers to questions. Parts of tests are SO vague you will almost laugh while taking them.
