Comment:

Professor Johnson was great! She is funny, great to listen to, and she will sit down with you and read your paper and give feedback so you can continue to make corrections and make your paper as great as possible. I also took Professor Johnson for Comp II during a 4 week summer class. A lot of work but very doable!

Comment:

A little disorganized, but she knows it and never penalizes students if the fault lies with her. Very kind and empathizes with students. Can be brought to tears by stories of dead pets.

Comment:

Constructive criticism can seem pretty harsh at first, but helpful in the end. A LOT of reading but, uhm you are taking an English class. Your graded mainly on discussion boards (super easy). She gives you a lot of resources/cheat sheets to walk you through the whole semester. Overall I loved Professor Johnson and learned a lot from her class.

Mrs. Johnson is wonderful! She gives great feedback on all writing assignments! She teaches 7 different classes and still takes the time to grade everyone's assignments and give feedback.

I took Professor Johnson's online course for Comp 1 and liked it so much that I decided to take her for Comp 2 the following semester. This course is by no means easy but I think that Professor Johnson does a wonderful job explaining what she expects out of you. Be prepared to read and write a lot!!

A very very rude professor. Has way higher standards than she should for an online Intro to lit class. She changed due dates on her course calendar many times throughout the 8 week course, without sending an email letting us know. Tries to make you feel inferior to her. Hello you are just a person that teaches an online class at a community college

Comment:

This teacher was very rude and disrespectful and treated me like a small ignorant child. I had a medical emergency that kept me in the hospital and she would not extend due date by one day. She then took the time and energy to reply back to specific questions I asked her by telling me to read the syllabus.

She is rude and disrespectful. Her feedback is always unnecessarily harsh and she constantly puts down her students. She gives one point of feedback yet gives a failing grade for the assignment. You can miss a comma and get an F. Definitely not recommended unless you would like to be constantly picked on instead of receiving constructive criticism.

One of the most fun teachers I've ever had and every class was entertaining. She was very encouraging also. Overall, it's an easy class, and she is the best for teaching it!

I took this class as a fast track. 3 essays, 3 tests, 4 DB posts, 1 bibliography. 200-300 pages of reading each week. Expect to work hard. She emails back quickly and is very helpful on any questions you may have. Great teacher. This class is all independent learning, which may not be good for everyone. Good way to get this class out of the way.

She had VERY high standards for all of the work and nit-picked the essays for grammer rather than content. I do not feel I learned much of anything from this class. She was unrealistic with her grading standards. The assignments (discussion board posts) were not relevant to what was on the tests.

Professor Johnson was had very unrealistic requirements for a online course. I was expected to designate 20 to 30 hours a week to her course. Her grading was very tough for a intro to literature class.

Mrs. Johnson was an awesome teacher! I barely ever showed up to class, but because she is super lenient and truly cares about her students, I made an A! Don't take her class if you want to learn grammar though...she ended up confusing both the class and herself everytime. haha. Still would take the class over again.

I took the 8 week Intro to Lit class online. It was a lot of work. Something was due just about every other day. If you have a hard time staying on top of things this class would be hard for you. There is also a lot of reading. Most of the assignments were discussion board postings and as long as you did them on time you got credit.

OMG I loved this class! I took it as a 2 week summer course & it was awesome. Mrs. Johnson was so funny and made comp 1 fun. We had 3 essays, bibliography work, summary assignment, and little quizzes from essays that were in the book. It was very easy & she proofreads everything before you turn it in & she'll help you. Highly recommend her!

Teaches my Hon. Comp. I class. She tends to see each person in the class individually and is willing to work with people on their scheduling conflicts. Even if your ideas are starkly different than hers in other areas of life, she always welcomes open dialogue in class.

Ms. Johnson is an incredibly helpful teacher. I have yet to see her frustrated with a student, and overall I'm enjoying her class. It takes a little bit to get used to her teaching style but when you do, you can get a lot out of the class and her as a teacher.
