Professor Sofia is very caring and really wants to see you succeed. She even made custom homework depending on your writing level. She provides many good resources and gives good feedback to improve your writing. I would recommend taking her class if you have to take WRT101.

She is an extremely generous professor because you get extra credit if you just visit the writing center. You will get what you deserve. Just do what she says and you'll end up in an easy A. The only problem is that her "in-class" instructions are not clear so people tend to get confused often about the homework or assignments.

I know that sometimes it can feel like youre just a GPA and that professors dont really care for you. Professor Sofia is different. She really does care for her students and gives a lot of extra credit. Its an easy A as long as you dont miss class. The essays were not difficult either!

Paper deadlines are very spread out. Good feedback on coached copies of papers, really helps with writing. I actually learned a lot about writing from her. Very nice.

Took class online over the summer. Weekly assignments but not that much work. You only have 5 - 8 days to write each paper. Professor is nice and grades leniently. Would not recommend for those who like to write and want to improve, I received no critical feedback. She was very focused on helping ESL students pass. Very easy A.

She is nice person in personally. However,she is bad as a professor. She would never help you during a semester. When you ask her for help, she would always say, 'go to writing center'. Also, she never grades back the essays. I only got 1 essay back at the end of the semester which was too late to change.

I took this class because she is supposed to be the easiest teacher on campus for the A grade, but it just wasn't worth it. I got the grade, but it was the most boring ride I've ever taken. She doesn't know anything about writing.

Very disappointed. I am an English major so I take my Engl. classes seriously. She didn't know the names of authors I asked about, and mispronounced others. Her background isn't even in English. Bibliophiles...take someone else for English!!

Compared to many other writing teachers, she is really nice and lenient. Not much work is required to pass her class. She is very clear on the assignments and I have learned some, not too many, things from her class. Lastly, I would definitely recommend her.

Besides there being less time to write essays in the summer session, I enjoyed the class and topics we had to write on.I don't like writing, but she was a good prof and didnt require much work. Only the 3 essays for the portfolio,reading few handouts and helpful activities in class.Class is pretty laid back and she tries to make things less boring.

very strict but means well. she can come off a bit condescending. 5 major assignments and a few ones in class. gives good feedback and is a fair grader. my only issue was her attitude at times. treats us like children and condemns stupid questions. take her if you have a backbone. overall she was okay and i didn't really regret it, grade wise.

She's really nice. One day she could tell her lecture was boring us so we did a story activity that was a lot of fun. She cancels class occasionally due to illness but it's okay. The assignments aren't terribly difficult and she is reasonable on grading. You are in the lab one day and the classroom the other day. It's not hard just do the work.
