Comment:

Cathy is a great prof! As long as you are willing to put in the time and effort, you will be able to get a good grade. She explains what will be tested, and really focuses your studying. Her marking is very fair, and she has 3 quizzes instead of huge midterms. I learned a great deal in this class and Cathy was the best prof I have ever had!

Its funny how you hear this class is ridicously hard before you even take it. As long as you can do a crap load of practice problems..you will do fine. Catherine - helped alot. But i hear she can be crazy once your in the exams.

So this course is really not that bad, its just a lot of work, the hardest part is the beginning, TVM then everything else is quite simple. Cathy knows her stuff, but for the most part you end up teaching yourself, find a good study partner and try to get your hands on old quizzes and put the effort in.

Lectures were OK, but often hard to keep up with. It seemed as though course notes and the TVM book were all you needed, but watch out... come MT and Final, she'll hit you with some crazy theory questions from the book. Midterm was crazy hard, but she made up for it with easy quizzes/final

I have no idea how some of these people actually disliked Cathy. She was an awesome prof, great help, and was more then willing to go out of her way to give you the best mark possible. I did not miss one class cause she made int'l interesting. I'm actually considering this concentration now when I graduate.

She is the worst prof I have ever had..utterly useless. She pre-judges you as soon as she sees you and pretty much basis your mark around that. I can't believe such an incompetent person can be a finance prof at the university

She is the worst teacher I've ever met. The second worst is Peggy. She is non-organized, rude and cold. She is messy and doesn't know how to teach at all. Guys, I suggest whenever you choose a course, you have to check whether the teacher is a Ph.D.

She is cold & distant. She seems very stressed and unimpressed to be teaching. Her class was terribly unorganized and badly planned. Her knowledge of the topic is certainly strong, but her attitude leaves much to be desired. Her final exam was unfairly hard. Haskayne would do well to loose this prof

Knows her stuff cold. Class is a ton of work, and she gives very little direction. One of the worst organized classes, but her knowledge makes up for that. Won't talk about final, which can be frustrating. Must have been quite the looker in her day.
